Indian Air Force is conducting the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2020 on February 22 & 23, 2020, which is Saturday and Sunday. Candidates clearing the AFCAT exam are going to be recruited as the Gazetted Officers of Group A, in ground duty and flying, for both non-technical and technical branch.
For the exam, IAF has already released admit card, after downloading which, full focus should be on revision and preparation. Preparation Tips for GS Paper of AFCAT 2020
Tip 1# Reading is the key when it comes to the preparation of General Awareness. Read as much as possible, incorporate the habit of reading and make it a part of your daily routine.
Trick: Learn to differentiate between READING and CRAMMING. Latter one will only create burden and confusion.
Tip 2# Newspapers are the best source to know what is happening around the world, in the nation, or in a particuar region. Not just that, newspaper also keep a person updated about the latest developments in sports and politics.
Trick: Candidates can read The Hindu, install some apps from playstore, to remain updated of their surroundings.
Tip 3# Learn while socializing. Candidates should engage themselves in informative and intelligent conversations with their colleague, friends and professors. Mark my words, whatever is learned through such discussions is going to stay with a person forever.
Tip 4# Listen to audio books. All a person has to do is, plug-in their earphones, and listen to the important topics, while travelling, walking or doing some other work. It doesn’t require any special arrangements or a time table.
Tip 5# Clarity on what to learn, how to learn and what not to learn, can help a cadidate to get the desirable results. GS comprises of many topics such as Politics, Civics, Geography, History, Current Affairs, Basic Science, Environment, Defence, Culture, Art, Sports, Culture etc. Now it is very important for a candidate to understand the weightage of each topic and do the preparation accordingly.
