AP SI Recruitment 2016 Eligibility Criteria
For Rc. No. 244 /R&T/Rect.1/2016
Men & Women both are eligible for SCT SI of Police (Communications) and Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Assistant Sub Inspector of Police in Finger Print Bureau.
Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 27 years as on 1 Jul 2016.
Educational Qualification for AP SI (Communications): Diploma / B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering / Information Technology OR Special Diploma Course in Electronics with specialization in Computer Engineering / Communication Engineering and Training OR Three years degree in B.Sc. Electronics.
Educational Qualification for AP SI Finger Print Bureau: Degree with Computer Science / Computer Application / Information Technology as one of the subjects awarded by any university in India.

- For the posts mentioned against Post Code Nos. 11 and 12 – Men & Women are eligible.
- For the posts mentioned against Post Code Nos. 13, 14 and 51 – Men are only eligible.

Educational Qualification for the Post Code Nos. 11, 12, 13 and 14: The candidate must hold, as on 1st July, 2016, a Degree awarded by any University in India, established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provisional Act of State or of any institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, as on 1st July, 2016, he/she must have passed Intermediate or any other examination recognised by the State Government as being equivalent to Intermediate and should have studied Degree.
Educational Qualification for the Post Code Nos. 51 & 52: The candidate must, as on 1st July, 2016, possess a Degree awarded by any University in India, established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provisional Act of State or of any institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification.
AP SI Recruitment 2016 Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify the Physical Measurements Test and Physical Efficiency Test shall be required to appear for a final written examination in three papers (each of three hours duration) as given below

- Paper I is only qualifying in nature. The cases of the candidates who do not secure the minimum qualifying marks in this Paper will not be considered further in the selection process irrespective of their performance in Papers II and III. The marks secured in this paper i.e., paper I will not be taken into account for final selection.
- Paper I referred above will include questions that are subjective and objective in nature. They have to answer the questions using Blue / Black Ball point pen.
- Questions in Papers II and III will be objective in nature and will be set in English & Telugu languages. Candidates have to answer the questions on an OMR answer sheet using Blue / Black Ball Point pen only. For this purpose, candidates should bring Blue / Black Ball Point pens along with them.
The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the final written examination in each paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs, 30% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen.
For Rc. No. 208/R&T/Rect.1/2016
Candidates shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in two papers (100 questions, three hours duration each) which will be qualifying, as given below.

The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the Preliminary Written Test in both the papers is 40% for OCs; 35% for BCs; and 30% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen. Marks obtained in Preliminary Written Test will have no relevance in the Final selection, which will be based on the marks obtained in Final Examination only.
