Minimum qualifying marks to qualify Preliminary Examination
- 40% marks have to be obtained by a general category candidate
- 35 % marks for OBC
- 30% marks are minimum to be obtained by candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen
The second stage of recruitment is the PET/PMT the candidates have to qualify the exam. Here some of the postcodes (11, 14, 15, 16) will be assigned the marks, where for some (12 & 13) of them, the examination will be qualifying in nature.

AP SI Result 2018 for Final Written Exam
At last, all the qualifiers of prelims and PET/PMT have to appear in the final written examination. The candidates have to qualify the exam with minimum qualifying marks. The board has announced the name of all the qualifiers of written examination at slprb.ap.gov.in. The Baord declares the name of the qualifiers initially, later the list of the candidates finally selected according to the marks obtained in all the exam has been released.
AP SI Result 2018 for PET / PMT
As the preliminary examination overs, the Board will issue the intimation letter for the PET/ PMT. The qualifiers of the prelims have to appear in the exam and have to perform the physical tasks assigned to them. For some of the postcodes, the Board will not award the marks in a different task. For postcode 11, 14, 16 and 16 the PET/ PMT will be qualifying in nature. Where for the postcodes 12 and 13 the Board has decoded t assign 100 marks.
After completion of PET / PMT, the board will release the result on slprb.ap.gov.in. The candidates will be able to chcek their result from the official website.

Selection Procedure of AP Police Recruitment 2018
The selection procedure of AP POlice Recruitment includes three major steps.
- Preliminary Written examination
- Physical Efficiency Test / Physical measurement Test
- Final Written Examination
In all above the recruitment process, the candidates have to qualify all. In order to qualify the preliminary examination, the candidates ahve to obtain the minimum marks decided by the Recruitment Board. However, the marks obtained in the Preliminary examination will not be added in the final merit list.
After clearing the above two stages the candidates have to sit in the final written examination which is objective in nature. In the final examination, there are four papers, in which two of them are qualifying i. e. (Telegu and English), And the marks obtained in paper III and IV will be calculated while preparing the final merit list.
Compilation of Merit List
The final merit list will be compiled according to the marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination. As per the Andhra Givenermnet, First, the recruitment board will fill the first 30% of the vacancy with the combined merit list of locals and Non – Locals. The remaining 70% of the vacancies will be filled by only locals of Andhra Pradesh.
Here for different postcodes, the marks form which the merit will prepare shall different. The candidates will get the position in the merit as per the marks obtained by themselves.
