AP TET May 2018 Exam: Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by Department of School Education for the candidates who aspire to become Teachers for Classes I to VIII in all Schools (Govt. / ZP / MP / Municipal /Recognized Pvt. Aided & Pvt. Un-Aided etc.). AP TET May 2018 Exam will be held in the month of June 2018. AP TET May 2018 Application Form

Candidates who are willing to apply for AP TET May 2018 Examination can apply through the direct link given above in the quick links section. Application forms for May 2018 session has been released online and are available on the official website. Candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility criteria before applying for the AP TET 2018 May exam. Candidates must fill the form completely and Submit it on or before the last date otherwise their application will be rejected.

AP TET May 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are going to apply for AP TET must ensure their eligibility before filling the application form. The candidates who are pursuing final year of any of the Teacher Education Courses can also apply for the next year’s AP TET Examination. Candidates at the time of applying must possess the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for Category- I to V classes (Paper – I) and VI to VIII classes (paper-II (A) & (B)) as given below.

  • Minimum Qualifications for paper-I (Classes I to V ): Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
    OR
    In case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines must have Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Minimum Qualifications for TET Paper II-A (Classes VI-VIII): 
    • Mathematics and Science Teachers / Social Studies Teachers: Any graduation in concerned subject with at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) – Special Education).
      OR
      4- year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates).
    • Language Teachers (Classes VI – VIII): Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.
  • Minimum Qualifications for TET Paper II-B (Classes VI-VIII): 
    • Physical Education Teachers: Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (or) Equivalent certificate recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of A.P. and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of One or Two years duration/ Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) of duration not less than Two years (or equivalent) from any NCTE Recognized Institution.
      OR
      Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent (or) Bachelor’s Degree with
      Physical Education an elective subject (or) Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at
      least Three years duration and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education
      (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of one or two years duration/ Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed)
      of duration not less than two years (or equivalent) from any NCTE Recognized
      Institution.
    • Physical Education Teachers /School Assistant- Physical Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent (or) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education an elective subject (or) Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at least Three years duration.
      AND
      Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) of at least one year duration course from
      NCTE Recognized University/Institution.

Hall tickets for AP TET May 2018 Examination will be available from June 03, 2018. Applicants must download the Admit cards and take a print-out. Admit card/ Hall ticket is a very essential document to be taken care of. Candidates are advised to take their Admit Cards with them on the day of Examination to the Examination halls.

Note: Candidates had to carry an authorised and valid government id proof along with them on the day of examination.

AP TET May 2018 Selection Criteria

The qualifying marks for different categories are as shown below:

  • General – 60% and above
  • BC – 50%  and above
  • SC / ST / Differently abled (PH) & Ex-Servicemen – 40% and above

The validity of Certificates shall be for a period of 7 years from the date of TET concerned as per CTET.

Note:

  • Differently abled (visually, orthopedically and Hearing Impaired) candidates with at least 40% of shall be considered.
  • 20% Weightage marks for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) of the State Government for Physical Education candidates will be considered on the basis of Written Marks + Incentive Marks. 20% Weightage marks will be arrived by limiting total marks to 150 only.

Weightage for APTET Scores in selection in District Selection Committee (DSC) Recruitments: 20% Weightage will be given to APTET scores in the ensuing Teacher Recruitment of the State Government. In other words, 20% Weightage is for APTET score and 80% Weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for drawing up the selection list.

AP TET May 2018 Result

AP TET Result will be published on the official website. Result of both Paper I and Paper II will be published. Result will be published on online only, no result will be sent through post. The result will be announced on the basis of final answer keys to be published on the official website after entertaining objection(if any) against the provisional answer keys to be published after the exam.
