Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen
  • He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on January 01, 2018.
  • The candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities established and incorporated by a Central Act or State Act in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess such qualification as may be declared equivalent by the Government.
  • Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of submission of their applications.

  • Persons with Disabilities should ascertain the post for which a particular category of disability is entitled for reservation as per the advertisement and should apply/opt for the preference accordingly at the time of filling up the forms for Main Examination.

Application Form

Application form for APSC Combined Competitive Exam (CCE) Recruitment Exam has been released at the official website. Interested candidates can download it by visiting the official website. Candidates must ensure his / her eligibility before filling the application form. Application Form must be filled and submitted on or before its last date. Application form will not be accepted if any candidates does not pay the application form fee.

Admit Card

Admission certificate indicating the eligible candidate’s roll no., venue and programme of the exam will be uploaded in the Commission’s website, for appearing in the Preliminary/Main examination. ) The mere fact that a certificate of admission has been issued will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission. Candidates may note that the Commission takes up the verification of eligibility conditions only after the candidates have qualified for the Main Examination.

Exam Pattern

The Combined Competitive Examination consists of two successive stages:-

Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination consisted of two papers of objective type multiple choice questions of two hours duration each.

Total Marks – 400 marks

  • The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices
  • OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheet will be provided for answering questions
  • Candidates could use only black ball pen.
  • Use of Eraser, Chemical, Correction Fluid etc. for correcting options once marked in the OMR answer sheet is prohibited and answer sheets bearing traces of such use will not be evaluated.
  • This Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only.
  • The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the Candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination will not be counted for determining the final order of merit.

Main Examination

The Main Examination consists of (A) Written Examination and (B) Interview Test.

(A) Written Examination

Based on the results of the Preliminary Examination, the number of candidates to be admitted to the written part of the Main Examination will be 11 to 12 times the number of vacancies notified. The selection will be strictly on the basis of merit adhering to the norms of Vertical and Horizontal Reservation as per prescribed law in force.

The Commission has discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the Examination.

(B) Interview Test: 200 marks

  • The candidates will be interviewed by a board. The interview, however, will not have any qualifying marks. The marks scored in the interview will be added to the marks scored in the written Examination (Main) and the ranking of the candidates will be determined on the basis of the total marks obtained.
  • Based on the results of the written part of the Main Examination the number of candidates to be called for interview will be about twice the number of vacancies advertised. The selection will be strictly on the basis of merit adhering to the norms of Vertical and Horizontal Reservation as per prescribed law in force.
  • The Commission shall recommend exactly the same number of candidates for different posts as notified.
  • The candidates will be allotted cadre strictly on the basis of merit cum preferences opted by candidates in their applications for the Main Examination.
  • The Commission shall not recommend a candidate for a post which he/she has not opted for in his/ her preference.

The Combined Competitive (Prelim.) Examination, 2018 will be conducted in the following centres of the newly created 9 (nine) districts of Assam which are given below. The candidates are requested to opt for the centres in the relevant column of the application form as per their requirement / convenience.

Candidates who will going to appear in the Prelim & Main Examination of the Combined Competitive Examination, 2018 will download APSC Combined Competitive Exam 2018 from here. The Answer key will be uploaded here after the successfully completion of the Main exam. Subject wise answer will also be publish by the commission.

Selection Process

There are three stage of Selection :

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Personal Interview

Candidates who will appear in the Prelims exam and qualified that exam can download the admit card for main exam (main examination). Main Examination consist of written exam & viva voce.

Qualified candidates in the main examination will be called for Personal Interview held by Assam PSC.

Candidates have to appear all the stages of Selection. Who fail to attend or miss any round will be directly disqualified from the selection process.

Result

Result of APSC Combined Competitive Exam (CCE) Prelim Exam will be released after the successful completion of it. Candidates who will be selected for the main exam have to appear in it. Selected candidates will be called for the interview. On the marks scored by the candidates in Prelim, Main and Interview their result will be declared.
