Since the recruitment test is going to be held at same time on same day in all the districts candidates who have filled more than one form for various districts may access his/her chances of selection according to their qualification and number of posts available in each establishment and give preferences of establishments of post for which he/she would like to be considered.

Application Form

The Application form for Bombay High Court 2018 will be available online only. The candidates are required to visit the official website of Bombay High Court 2018 in order to fill registration form for new Application. Candidates can easily fill the registration form by typing personal information such as Name, Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Password. It is important to note that after filling the online application candidates must take a printout of the application.

Vacancy Details

The Maharashtra Government conducts Bombay High Court Recruitment for the year 2018 for all the candidates eligible. There are 1013 vacancies for the post of  Stenographer (L.G.), 4738 for the post of Junior Cleark, and 3170 for the post of Peon on the establishment of District Court for a total of 8921 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria

For Stenographer (L.G.) –

  1.  Candidate minimum passed S.S.C. Board Examination. Preference will, however, be given to Graduate and Law Graduates of any Recognized University in any faculty.
  2. Candidate must have passed Government Commercial Certificate Examination, or examination conducted by Government Board or I.T.I. of Shorthand speed of 100 w.p.m. and minimum English typing speed of 40 w.p.m. and Marathi Typing with speed of 30w.p.m. and Marathi Shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m.
  3. Candidate must possess Computer knowledge Certificate of any of the following Institutes :

a)    DOEACC/NIELIT
b)    University
c)     C­DAC
d)    MS­CIT
e)    Vocational Course – State Government
f)     Vocational Course – Central Government
g)    ITI – Central Government
h)    ITI – State Government
i)     Technical Board.

For Junior Clerk

  1. Candidate minimum passed S.S.C. Board Examination. Preference will, however, be given to Graduate and Law Graduates of any Recognized University in any faculty.

For Peon –

  1. A candidate must have passed minimum 7th Standard with good physique.
  2. Candidate should not have a total number of living children more than 02 due to the children born after May 28, 2006.

Admit Card

The Admit Card for Bombay High Court Recruitment 2018 will be available to candidates, they shall first obtain online acknowledgment as well as a printout of the whole Application. After publication of eligible shortlisted candidates on the website paste the same photograph as earlier and signature using black ink on the application, this shall be submitted to the concerned District Court from where the candidate will be provided hall ticket after submitting one photograph and producing identity documents.

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for Stenographer (L.G.) includes-

  • Speed Test of 20 marks each in shorthand in English and local language the duration of English test will be 6 minutes with speed of dictation 100 wpm, Total words 600 with transcription time 40 minutes.
  • For local language, the test will be 8 minutes with speed dictation 80 wpm, Total words 640 with transcription time 45 minutes.
  • After securing cut off marks in the Shorthand Test, the candidate will have to appear in Typing Test of English and local language on Computer each carrying 20 marks as well as interview carrying 20 marks.

The exam pattern for Junior Clerks includes-

  • A typing test of 20 marks which will comprise of 300 words which have to be typed within 10 minutes (30 wpm) by the candidate on Computer.
  • Only the candidates who obtain cut off marks in the local language typing test will be allowed to give English typing test. The list of such eligible candidates will be displayed in the office of the District Court and on the official website as well.
  • The English typing test will carry 20 marks and will contain 400 words to be typed within 10 minutes (40 wpm). One mark will be deducted for five mistakes.
  • All the candidates who obtain cut off marks in English test will be called for interview.

The exam pattern for Peon includes-

  • An activeness test which will carry 5 marks in which the swiftness and promptness in the movement of the candidate shall be tested.
  • Based on the performance of the candidate in the screening test, activeness test, and cleanliness test, a list of eligible candidates for interview will be released.

Result

The results of all the test done for Bombay High Court for the posts of Stenographer (L.G.), Cleark, and Peon will be displayed in the District Court and on the official website of each District court. Candidates can check the website or could visit the District Court according to their convenience.
