CBSE UGC NET 2017 OMR answer sheet of the candidates appeared in NET Jan, 2017 and CBSE UGC NET Answer Key 2017 of all the papers will be displayed on the website as per the schedule given above.

The examination contains three papers held in two sessions. Exam pattern of CBSE UGC NET Jul is as follows.

Paper CBSE NET Questions And Marks
I 60 Questions (50 Compulsory), 100 Marks
II 50 Questions, 100 Marks
III 75 Questions, 150 Marks

CBSE UGC NET Jan 2017 Answer Keys of Paper I, II, III contain answers to the following.

  • Paper I CBSE NET Answer Key indicates 60 questions-answers, of which candidate must attempt only 50 qs.
  • Paper II CBSE NET Answer Key with all 50 compulsory questions-answers.
  • Paper III CBSE NET Answer Key having all 75 questions-answers.

Verification of Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheets, Recorded Responses & CBSE NET Answer Key 2017

The candidates, who are not satisfied with the captured response, may challenge by filling online application form by paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question. The challenge of CBSE NET Answer Key 2017 will be accepted online only through the link available on the official website on payment of applicable fee. The fee can be paid by credit / debit card or e-challan. n case the challenge of any candidate regarding captured images of response sheets (OMR sheets) / Answer Key is accepted, the fee will be refunded to such candidates against the accepted challenge. In all other cases the fee once paid will not be refunded.

In case the UGC NET Answer Key 2017 is found to be incorrect, the CBSE will process the result in the light of changed key and qualify the additional candidates for JRF and / or Eligibility for Assistant Professor. However, the result of previously qualified candidates of JRF and / or eligibility for Assistant Professor shall remain unchanged.

No grievances with regard to answer key (s) after declaration of result of NET Jan, 2017, will be entertained.

CBSE UGC NET Question Papers

How Much Marks Will You Score In CBSE UGC NET?

This is a pen and paper based test, thus all answers are to be marked by candidates in an OMR sheet. Marking scheme is as follows.

  • Each question carries two (2) marks. Thus, for correct answer, you will get 2 marks.
  • There is no negative marking.
  • However, if more than one circle is darkened or if the response is marked in any other manner except the Correct Method, it shall be treated as wrong way of marking and ¼ (one fourth) marks i.e. one mark will be deducted for each question.

Marks scored by you = Number of correct answers x 2.

CBSE UGC NET Qualifying Marks and Cut Off

Those candidates who get marks in the exam more than the qualifying / cut off marks of CBSE UGC NET, will be eligible for further steps to be in the merit list.

Paper I 40 (40%) 35 (35%)
Paper II 40 (40%) 35 (35%)

CBSE UGC NET Result

Candidates who satisfy the above criteria (clearing cut off marks), a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.

  • Of those in the merit list thus prepared, for each subject and category Top 15% candidates from the merit list will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only.
  • A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from among the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared above.
