Steps to Check CBSE UGC NET Result 2017

To check the UGC NET result 2017, the candidates will have to follow the steps below.

  • Click on the link for CBSE UGC NET Jan 2017 Result link above.

Selection Procedure for CBSE UGC NET Result 2017

To Qualify the NET and Featured in Merit List: The candidates are selected on the basis of the performance in the written examination. The OMR Sheet of the candidates will be evaluated through Digital Login. Then, as per the marks obtained in the exam, the merit will be allocated to the candidates.

The Merit will be allotted to those candidates, who will surpass minimum percentage of marks in all the three papers and will also score more than the total minimum marks.

The required minimum percentage to qualify for CBSE UGC Net Merit List is as below:

Criteria to be Selected for Lectureship: Only top 15% candidates will be selected for the Lectureship post. The candidate, in each subject and category, will become eligible for the post of Assistant Professorship.

Criteria for JRF: For awarding the JRF, a completely different merit list will be prepared. It will be prepared as below:

No. of slots under UR for JRF in a subject = No. of qualified ans eligible candidates who have opted for JRF in a subject X No. of slots available under UR / Total No. of eligible and qualified candidates of UR category who have opted for JRF and are qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

What After the Result?

Once the UGC CBSE NET Result is announced, the merit holders will be required to download their NET E-Certificates and apply for the Qualified Certificate.

Issuance UGC NET E-Certificate

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clearly stated that it is only responsible for conducting the exam. The e-certificate can be downloaded from the login, by entering the Roll Number and Date of Birth, Year of Exam, and Security Code.

Issuance of UGC NET 2017 Qualified Certificate

However, to download the UGC NET 2017 Qualified Certificate the candidates will have to send an application to:

  • Head, UGC NET Bureau, University of Delhi, South Campus, Benito Juarez Marg , New Delhi, Pin Code-110021
  • Phone No. (011-24116316, 24115416, 24115419) .

Along with the application, the candidates will also have to send the copy of the CBSE UGC NET Result 2017 and the E-certificate as well.

Note: It will take few month for dispatch of NET 2017 Qualified Certificate.
