Following a long list of government recruitment examinations, the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has now officially deferred the State Administrative Service exam. HPPSC earlier announced that it will conduct the preliminary stage of the HPAS exam on April 26, 2020. However, HPAS 2020 prelims stand postponed as of now. Expectedly, the news comes amidst a countrywide lockdown imposed in India due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak.
HPPSC accepted online applications for the 2020 Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) exam earlier this year. Accordingly, the preliminary stage exam was scheduled for 26 April 2020. However, as we all know, India recently fell prey to the global Covid-19 pandemic. The outbreak led to a country-wide lockdown and ban on all academic and corporate institutions. Therefore, the HPPSC has postponed the scheduled preliminary exam. New dates of the exam are expected after situations are restored in the country.
