IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerk 2018

The eligibility criteria have to be followed by all the candidates. Ineligible candidates will not be granted admission.

Nationality: The candidates should be a citizen of Indian.

Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 20 to 28 years, as on September 01, 2018.

Relaxation in upper age limit is as below

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years
Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) 3 years
Persons With Disabilities 10 years
Ex-Servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years
Widows, Divorced women and women, legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried 9 years
Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir 5 years
Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 years
Regular employees of the Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal retrenched from service (Applicable to Madhya Pradesh state only) 5 years

Educational Qualification: The candidates should possess a Graduation Degree from any recognized Institute.

  • Computer Literacy  Candidate must have operating and working knowledge in computer systems. For this, Certificate / Diploma / Degree in computer operations / Language / should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School / College / Institute.
  • Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT – Candidate must be able to read, write and speak the official language of state or UT. Apply for vacancies in that state of which you know the language.

Application Form for IBPS Clerk

Once the candidates have ensured the eligibility he/she acn apply for the post. The applictaion form for the IBPS Clerk will be uploaded by the IBPS on the website on www.ibps.in. Admit card for the IBPS clerk is also called the Call letter. The call letter for the preliminary examination and Main examination will be released one by one. And the candidates who will qualify the Preliminary examination will get the Call letter for the Main Examination. Examination Pattern of IBPS Clerk 2018

The pattern of the Preliminary and Main examination is as mentioned below.

IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam Pattern: The candidates will have to attempt 100 questions of 100 marks and the details of these are below:

IBPS Clerk Main Examination Pattern: The pattern of the Main examination has been changed. Instead of 200, the candidates will now have to solve 190 questions. The total time provided to solve these will be 160 minutes.

Negative Marking in IBPS: The negative marking is applicable in both the examinations. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Result for IBPS Clerk 2018

Same as the admit card the result for the IBPS Clerk 2018 will be released by the IBPS one by one for the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination. The both of the results will be released by the IBPS on its website.The results for IBPS Clerk 2018 will be released online on the official website of the IBPS. Candidates who will appear for the IBPS examinations will be able to check results by entering their registration id and password.

Selection Procedure for the IBPS Clerk 2018

Under IBPS Clerk 2018 the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of competitive examination. The process of shortlisting the candidates is as below:

  • First, the candidates will have to clear the Preliminary examination.
  • Then, the qualifiers of the Prelims will be called for the Main exam.
  • Those who will clear the Main exam will be called for the document verification and final recruitment.
