The Institute of Banking Personnel selection has notified the dates for the recruitment of Clerical Cadre Phase II (CRP Clerks- VII). The online portal for desirous candidates has opened from 12th Sept 2017. The institute has specified the eligibility criteria for the IBPS clerk post. According to IBPS, the aspirants who will fulfill all the eligibility criterion will be able to apply for the concerned post. One of the eligibility criteria includes the age factor, which states that candidates aged between 20 to 28 years will be able to fill the application form. There are more eligibility criterion which has to be fulfilled to appear in the IBPS Clerk 2017 examination.
The application form of IBPS Clerk 2017 is available online on the official website of the Institute of Banking Personnel selection at http://www.ibps.in. While applying online the eligibility of the candidate will be taken into consideration. The suitable and interested candidates should submit the online application form before the last date of submission i.e., 3rd October 2017. The preliminary examination for the post is scheduled to be conducted on 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th December 2017 respectively. The main examination will be held in the month of January 2018. Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerk 2017
The eligibility criteria mentioned by the Institute of Banking Personnel selection is the minimum basic criteria for the post of Clerical Cadre Phase II (CRP Clerks- VII). The candidates who will be found eligible shall have to submit all the relevant documents in support of their age limit, educational qualification, category and citizenship at the time of joining and any successive stage of the recruitment process. Therefore, it is necessary to fill all the data related to age, qualifications and other important information. Once the category of the candidate is submitted then no further changes will be allowed in the application form. The eligibility conditions are discussed below:
Age limit is the biggest factor in deciding the eligibility criteria for a recruitment. Keeping this in mind the Institute post has set certain age limit for the candidates who are going to apply for the post.
Lower Age limit as on September 1, 2017- 20 years (minimum)
Upper age limit as on September 1, 2017- 28 years (maximum)
Relaxation of Upper Age limit:-
The candidates belonging to the reserved category (ST/SC/ OBC/widow/ Persons with Disabilities/ Ex-servicemen etc.) have given an advantage of age relaxation of upper age limit. The relaxation granted to them is mentioned below in the table.

The educational qualifications of the candidate must be completed from a recognized University/ School/ Board or Institute recognized by Govt. of India. All the documents related to education must be submitted at the time of Joining. The minimum educational qualification is given below:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline
Candidate must possess a valid mark sheet/ Degree/ Certificate of Qualifying examination
Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory. You must have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
Proficiency in Official Language of the State/UT. Candidates must be able to read, write and speak it.
Nationality / Citizenship:-
The candidate applying for IBPS Clerk 2017 must be:
- A citizen of India or Nepal or Bhutan or
a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, or
a person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
