Hello Guys,

Just one more step to become “Probationary Officer / Management Trainee” by clearing main recruitment exam conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).

As you all know that this year the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted the Main Examination, for the recruitment of Probationary Officers / Management Trainee across the country on 20 Nov, 2016.

  • There were 5 sections in IBPS PO mains exam namely English, Reasoning ,Computer awareness, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude.
  • This year the paper was of Difficult level.
  • There were 4 seating arrangements and puzzles in reasoning.
  • There were 200 questions, which had to be answered in 140 minutes.

English Language ( Moderate – Difficult )

First start with the English Language Section:

The level of English was difficult as compared to previous year. Along with Sentence Fillers, there were two reading comprehensions.

Computer Awareness was quite easy. Almost all the questions were asked from history of computer and generations. It was seemed that this section comprised of easy questions and tested the elementary knowledge of computers.

General Awareness part of the paper was moderate. This section was quite easy for those candidates who knew banking terms. Mostly questions were asked from Capsule. This section saw a mix of questions from Current Affairs and Banking. Some questions were also from Static Part.
