As per the latest notifiction published by the authorities, ICAR ASRB NET 2020 scheduled on January 08, 2020 is postponed and will now take place on January 11, 2020. The decision to postpone the exam was taken in wake of the nationwide strike, called by the Central Trade Unions (CTUs) on 8th of January 2020. Applicants, directors and centre supervisors also raised their concern, hence after reviewing the situation, the board has decided to reschedule the exam. The venue and timings of the exam will remain same only the date has been moved forward.
We would like to apprise our readers, that the schedule of the exams going to held on January 09 and 10 will remain unchanged. Candidates who are appearing in the exam can download their admit card from the official website of ICAR i.e asrb.org.in. Registration number and date of birth is required to download the ICAR ASRB NET 2020 admit card.
Central Trade Unions (CTUs) have announced that they will hold ‘Bharat Bandh’ on January 08, 2020 to show their dissent against the government’s anti-labour policies. 10 CTUs along with the 60 student organisation are going to be the part of the strike. CTUs are raising their concern against the unemployment, social security, minimum wages etc, whereas the student organisations are protesting against the commercialization of education and fee hikes. If we go by the reports, then CTUs have claimed that around 25 crore people are expected to be a part of Bharat Bandh on January 08. CTUs are not happy with the privatisation of public sector undertakings, they are raising their voice against the corporatisation of defence units, forceful merger of banks and privatisation of railways.
ICAR ASRB NET 2020 is the exam, which makes the candidates (who qualifies the exam) eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professors and Lecturers in Agricultural Universities (AU) and State Agricultural Universities (SAU). Candidates qualifying the ICAR ASRB NET get the certificates from ASRB, which allow them to apply for the vacancies posted by AUs or SAUs, after fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria.
Earlier, the tentative exam dates released by the board were, December 09 2019, to December 15, 2019. Then a notice was released on November 21, 2019, declaring that the exam dates have been postponed due to some administrative reasons, and that the exam will now be held on January 06, 2020 to January 10 2020. Again a schedule was released, declaring the exam dates as January 08, 2020 to January 10, 2020. Later on, citing the unforeseen situation due to the January 08, 2020 strike, the exam going to held on that day was shifted to January 11, 2020.
Exam pattern of ICAR ASRB NET 2020 goes like this. There is one paper of 02 hours, which carries 150 multiple-choice objective type questions. Each question is of 01 marks and 1/3 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. The exam is conducted in online mode and candidates can choose the medium to answer the question, between Hindi or English language.
Though the date of the result declaration is not yet announced, candidates are advised to reguarly visit the official website to know the exact date, when the result will be declared.
