MP Police Constable Selection Process
Last verified 07 Oct 2026
MP Police Constable selection has these stages:
1. Written Test (CBT)
The 100-mark online test; about seven times the advertised vacancies in each category (by cut-off percentile) are called for the physical test.
2. Physical Proficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement (PMT)
- PET events: 800 m run (40 marks), long jump (30) and shot put (30) — 100 marks in all; a minimum of 30 is required and the PET marks are added to the written marks for the final merit.
- PMT: height and chest (male) measured.
3. Trade Test (technical / driver posts)
A trade or driving test where the post requires it.
4. Document Verification & Medical
Document verification and a medical examination, followed by the final merit list.
