Qualifying marks
Each category paper is out of 150 marks. A candidate qualifies on scoring:
| Category | Minimum % | Marks (of 150) |
|---|---|---|
| General | 60% | 90 |
| OBC / SC / ST / PwD | 55% | 82 |
Certificate
Successful candidates are issued a KTET qualifying certificate for the category they passed, establishing eligibility for teacher recruitment in Kerala at that level.
Qualifying is not appointment
KTET is only an eligibility test; it carries no rank list. Qualifying does not by itself confer a right to appointment, which is made through a separate recruitment process.
