UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist results are published on upsc.gov.in as a PDF listing the roll numbers of successful candidates in order of merit, followed some weeks later by the marks of all candidates.

How to check your result

  1. Open the What's New or Examinations β†’ Written Result section of upsc.gov.in.
  2. Download the result PDF for this examination and search for your roll number.
  3. Read the accompanying press note β€” it states how many candidates were recommended and what happens next.
  4. Wait for the separate marks file, which UPSC publishes after the final result.

Roll number lists, then name lists

UPSC first releases a list ordered by roll number, and then a second list ordered by name. Both contain the same candidates β€” the second is simply easier to search. Neither carries marks; those come later.

UPSC PRATIBHA Setu

Candidates who reach the interview stage but are not finally recommended can opt in to UPSC PRATIBHA Setu, which shares their profile with public and private sector employers looking to hire. It is voluntary and it costs nothing.
