JPSC – Jharkhand Public Service Commission came into existence on 15th November, 2000 under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India. JPSC was curated with the aim of making the commission fully responsible at conducting the exams required for the government posts in the state. Its fundamental objective is to conduct written competitive exams and also interviews.
JPSC which is one of the most prestigious exams in India for aspiring candidates administers the Civil Service Exam in three phases:-
- Prelims Exam
- Mains Exam
- Personal Interviews
On the basis of the exam which was held on 18 Dec 2016 for the post at various functional levels, JPSC has released a list of the candidates who have proficiently cleared phase I on 23 Feb 2017.

Out of tremendous amount of applicants which JPSC receives every year only a few thousand lucky ones get it right. This year a roundabout 5,138 of the students have managed to clear the exam.
