KSET Exam Pattern 2022 

The KSET exam pattern is basically the layout of how the exam will take place. Candidates should use it as a tool to better understand the mark distribution and weightage for each subject. The rank list will be issued based on not just the marks obtained for the exam but also based on the category of the candidate.

  • Mode of exam: Offline 
  • Duration of exam: 60 minutes for Paper I and 120 minutes for Paper II 
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice question format.
  • Total marks: 100 marks for Paper I and 200 marks for Paper II 
  • Number of questions: 100 questions for Paper I and 200 questions for Paper II 
  • Marking scheme : two marks for every correct answers and no negative marks for incorrect answers

About KSET 2022 Exam

The Karnataka State Eligibility Test or KSET examination is held annually by the University of Mysore or UoM. KSET is conducted for the recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities/Colleges/ Institutions within Karnataka. Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree or any other equivalent examination from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi. There will be two papers i.e Paper I and Paper II. Both papers are objective type and are mandatory. Candidates need a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate of both papers for general category and at least 35% marks in aggregate of both papers for SC/ST/CAT-I/II A/II B/III A/III B/PWD.

Ans. No, KSET 2022 Exam is conducted offline as an OMR based examination in MCQ format.

Ans. No, there will not be any mark deduction or negative marking for incorrect answers and unanswered questions in the KSET 2022 Exam.
