The candidates willing to apply for LIC AE and AAO posts have to register and fill the application form online. Offline applications are not accepted. The schedule to register and apply online can be checked from the schedule table provided above. After going through LIC Assistant Notification 2020, go through the following steps to apply online.
Step 1-Register: Enter name, mobile number and email id to register online. Note down the provisional registration number and password. These are needed to fill the LIC Assistant 2020 application form.
Step 2-Fill Application Form: Provide the requisite information in the application form accurately. One can complete the application form in multiple sessions using the “Save” option. Verify and validate all the details.

- AAO (Chartered Accountant): Bachelor’s degree + associate membership of ICAI + candidate must have cleared final exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountant
- AAO (Actuarial): Bachelor’s degree + candidate must have passed a minimum of 6 papers of the exam conducted by Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK / Institute of Actuaries of India.
- AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law / LLM + 3 years of bar experience
- AAO (Rajbhasha): PG degree in Hindi / Hindi Translation (English must be a subject at bachelor level) OR PG degree in English (Hindi as a subject at bachelor level) OR PG degree in Sanskrit (English + Hindi as subjects at bachelor level)
- AAO (IT): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (IT, CSE or Electronics) / MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science)

LIC Assistant Recruitment 2020 Call Letter
The call letters, for each round of selection process, are issued by LIC on their official website, licindia.in. The candidates can check the schedule for release of LIC Assistant Recruitment 2020 call letters from this page. The intimation regarding release of call letter is sent to the candidates through SMS or email. To download the LIC Assistant 2020 call letter, candidates need to put in their roll number / registration number and date of birth / password. Download the call letter and take a print-out of the same to be carried to the exam centre. Also, affix a recent photo on the LIC call letter.

LIC Assistant Recruitment 2020 Selection Procedure
The selection process is 3-tiered, which means there are going to be 3 subsequent phases/stages one has to go through. Check all these phases below.
- Preliminary Exam: It is the first phase of the LIC Assistant Recruitment selection procedure. The candidates qualifying this round are eligible to appear for the second phase. Candidates 20 times the number of total vacancies in each category are shortlisted for the next round.
- Main Exam: This is the second phase of the selection process. Candidates who obtain more than minimum qualifying marks, prescribed by LIC, are eligible for the next round. Marks obtained in main examination alone are considered for shortlisting of candidates for interview. Candidates 3 times the number of total vacancies are invited for the next round.
- Interview: This is the final phase of the selection procedure. Candidates who qualify the interview round are eligible for further process. Candidates appearing for this round have to carry a system-generated print-out of LIC Assistant application form. Final merit list is prepared based on scores in main examination and the interview.
Medical Examination: Those candidates whose names appear in the final merit list have to go through a pre-recruitment medical exam. The appointment is made only after the candidate is found medically fit.

LIC announces the result of each phase of selection process after the completion of each phase. The final result or merit list is prepared on the basis of candidates’ marks in the main examination and the interview round. Candidates can check the LIC Assistant 2020 result from licindia.in. In case of 2 or more candidates having the same aggregate scores, their merit is decided using the following procedure.
- Candidate with higher educational qualification is given priority
- If there is still a tie, candidate senior in age is preferred for the merit order.
About LIC Assistant 2020
The selection of candidates to the post of Assistant Engineer, Assistant Architect and Assistant Administrative Officer is conducted by LIC in 3 stages. The candidates appointed to the advertised posts are entitled to basic pay of Rs 32,795 in the pay scale of Rs 32,795 – 1610 (14) – 55,335 – 1745 (4) – 62315. Along with the basic pay, the candidates are provided with HRA, CCA and other allowances, which takes the gross salary per month to around Rs 57,000. Other perks include gratuity, defined contributory pension, LTC, group mediclaim, cash medical benefit, group insurance, meals, mobile expenses, tea/coffee, newspaper, magazines etc. Moreover, candidates appointed as AAO (CA) with 2 years of post-qualification work experience get 2 advance increments.
