Cancellation of Maharashtra Postman / Mailguard / MTS Exam held in 2015

The Maharashtra Post Office Result 2017 of examination for the direct recruitment of Postman / Mailguard held on 29 Mar 2015 and another exam for MTS held on 03 May 2015 stands cancelled. Fresh examination would be conducted for these posts in Maharashtra Postal Circle for declared vacancies. Exam Pattern

Total Marks – 100

Time allowed – 120 minutes.

The questions on General Knowledge and mathematics will also be supplied in the Regional Languages i.e. Marathi / Konkani in addition to English Language.

Part C (ii) will be in Marathi for candidates from Maharashtra and in Konkani or Marathi for candidates from Goa State.

Part B Number Systems, Computation of whole Numbers, Decimals & Fractions, Relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Use of Tables & Graphs, Mensuration (Examiner may set 1 to 2 questions from each topic)
Part C (i) Articles, Prepositions, conjunctions, tenses, verbs, synonyms & antonyms, vocabulary, sentence structure, Proverbs, Phrases, questions from a small unseen passage. etc (Examiner may set five questions from one unseen passage and 2-3 questions from remaining topics)
Part C (ii) Shabd Pad, Kriya Bhed, Mishr & Sanyukt Vakya, Vakyo ka Rupantaran, Swar Sandhi, Alankar, Samas, Muhavare & Lokoktiyan, Ashudh Vakya Shodhan, Apathit Gadyansh (Examiner may set five questions from one Apathit Gadyansh and 2to 3 questions from remaining topics). These topics shall be replicated in Regional Languages.

Qualifying Marks

  • Minimum 10 marks (8 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks for OBC) in each part / segment.
  • 40% marks (33% marks for SC/ST and 37% marks for OBC) in aggregate.
