Maharashtra Postal Circle conducted written examination for the posts of Postman / Mail Guard to fill up the 1701 vacancies in Postal / Railway Mail Service Divisions in Maharashtra Postal Circle. Another examination was held to fill up 725 vacancies for the posts of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in Maharashtra Postal Circle.
Cancellation of Maharashtra Postman / Mailguard / MTS Exam held in 2015
The Maharashtra Post Office Result 2017 of examination for the direct recruitment of Postman / Mailguard held on 29 Mar 2015 and another exam for MTS held on 03 May 2015 stands cancelled. Fresh examination would be conducted for these posts in Maharashtra Postal Circle for declared vacancies. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- For Postman / Mail-guard: Matriculation or Equivalent from a recognized board or University.
- For MTS : Matriculation or ITI from a recognized board.
Age limit: Age should be between 18 to 27 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Exam Pattern
The candidates shall be subjected to an Aptitude Test of the level of Matriculation covering the topics as per the syllabus.
Total Marks – 100
Time allowed – 120 minutes.
The questions on General Knowledge and mathematics will also be supplied in the Regional Languages i.e. Marathi / Konkani in addition to English Language.
Part C (ii) will be in Marathi for candidates from Maharashtra and in Konkani or Marathi for candidates from Goa State.

Selection procedure
The Selection will be made on the basis of a common Merit list for Postman & Mail Guard in the Aptitude test for Maharashtra circle (Maharashtra State & Goa State) as a whole.
Qualifying Marks
- Minimum 10 marks (8 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks for OBC) in each part / segment.
- 40% marks (33% marks for SC/ST and 37% marks for OBC) in aggregate.
