The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra, conducts MHN CWT 2018. This examination is held for the recruitment of trained staff nurses in hospitals under the Govt. of Maharashtra. This year, MHN CWT held on March 31, 2018. DMER conducted MHN CWT 2018 in online mode. The standard of the examination is of General Nursing and Midwifery exam. The candidates appearing for the exam can check all the important dates from the exam from the table below.

MHN-CWT 2018 Eligibility Criteria
This year a number of candidates are going to appear for the MHN CWT 2018 examination. These candidates should either have done GNM or Basic B.Sc Nursing graduate course, from an institute recognized by INC (New Delhi) or MNC Mumbai (Maharashtra). These two courses are:
- GNM – 3 or 3 and a half year course recognized by INC New Delhi or MNC, Mumbai
- B.Sc Nursing – 4 year graduate course and 2 year post graduation course recognized by INC New Delhi or MNC, Mumbai.
Other than this, the candidates must also fulfill the eligibility criteria stated below:
Residency: The candidate must be an Indian citizen with residency of Maharashtra State
Age Criteria: The candidate must not be above 38 years of age and in case of backward classes, not more than 43 years as on February 21st 2018.
Education Qualification: The candidate must hold a diploma of General Nursing Midwifery (3 or 3 1/2 years) or basic/post basic B.Sc nursing (basic/post basic) nursing course.
Registered with Council: The candidate must be a pass-out student of an institute situated in Maharashtra state, recognized by Maharashtra Nursing Council, Govt. of Maharashtra/ Maharashtra university of health sciences Nasik/ any other registered university situated in the state of Maharashtra.
Medical Criteria: The candidate must provide medical fitness certificate from a certified doctor during the process.
Note: Remember to keep all the above mentioned documents and certificates and the copies of the same handy. Failing to provide the documents/certificates will result in disqualification from the selection process.

The application form for the staff nurses by DMER was an online process. The eligible candidates could visit the official website to apply for the position of staff nurses. The application form was to be filled through online mode only and the candidates didn’t need to submit the same to any officer. The admit was made available online once the application was over. The admit card could be downloaded from the official website. The candidates appearing for the examination must keep a copy of their admit card and candidates can find their examination centre written at the end of the admit card.
Exam Pattern for MHN CWT 2018
Candidates appearing for the examination can note down the examination pattern for an idea of what sort of questions are asked in the examination.
- The examination for the recruitment of staff nurses is in the English language with a time limit of two hours.
- 150 MCQ type questions are asked in this examination. 125 questions are from the syllabus of GNM while 25 General aptitude questions are asked.
- The questions are asked from all the subjects of GNM Course.
MHN CWT 2018 Examination Centre
After the candidate receives the Admit card. He will have the examination centre information available on the admit card itself. The examination centre can be found at the end of the admit card. Candidates must note down the complete address of the examination centre and can visit there a day before as it would be easier to find it on the examination day.
MHN CWT entrance examination requires the candidate to cover the subjects of General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) exam and B.Sc nursing (Basic and post basic) nursing course.
