MP SET Preparation 2022 – Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test is an eligibility test conducted for aspiring candidates who are willing to be assistant professors in the colleges/ universities of Madhya Pradesh. The recruitment process consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates have to pass both papers in order to be eligible for the MP SET pass certificate. Only candidates with MP SET pass certificates are eligible to apply for the post of assistant professor in several colleges/universities of Madhya Pradesh. MP SET Preparation Tips

  • First of all download the complete syllabus and exam pattern of MP SET examination. 
  • Syllabus and exam pattern will help you in better preparation for the examination.
  • Prepare a smart strategy which candidates need to follow daily. Try to divide the syllabus on the basis of the difficulty level of the topic. The topic which is hard to understand has to be given more time and focus.

  1. History

            For history, it is advised that candidates must go through the NCERT books and start preparing from ncert books. Afterwards, candidates can also refer to state books for preparation. While studying, prepare short notes and a sheet with important dates and events written on it. For ancient and medieval history candidates can follow NCERTs only.

  1. Indian and World Geography

            Under Geography, there are two subtopics present and they are – Physical and Human. To understand concepts of these topics candidates should religiously read NCERT books. Reading newspapers daily also benefits the preparation a lot for this subject.

  1. Indian Polity

            The marks in this subject are divided into important topics such as Parliament, State, and Central Legislatures, Panchayati Raj, Legislative Bills in the news or debate, Election Commission, etc. and to understand these topics candidates can follow the book by M.Laxmikanth that is Indian Polity. Also, candidates must be updated with the latest news and current affairs.

  1. Indian Economy

           The subject of the Indian Economy is very vast. However, most of the questions asked from this topic are general questions. A few factual questions can also be asked on this subject. In This subject one should be familiar with GDP, PCI, GNP, unemployment, recession, Rupee Depreciation/Appreciation are topics that are mostly asked every year in the examination.

  1. General Science and Environment

            For this subject, candidates can refer to NCERT or MP Board books which are more than enough for the preparation purpose. Candidates can refer to the previous year question papers for this subject to strengthen up their preparation.

About MP SET

The Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test is held to find eligible individuals for assistant professor positions in Madhya Pradesh’s colleges and institutions. Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission administers the MP SET test. The Madhya Pradesh SET exam will be conducted entirely online (CBT). Paper 1 has 50 questions and is of 100 marks whereas  Paper 2 has 100 questions and is worth 200 marks. Paper 1 has a time limit of 60 minutes, whereas Paper 2 has a time limit of 120 minutes. The MP SET exam does not have any negative marking. MP SET pass certificates are given to candidates who pass the examination.
