Maharashtra Public Service Commission or MPSC is a Constitutional Body established Under Article 315 of Constitution of India that aims to provide a smooth and efficient functioning of the Government of Maharashtra (GoM). It undertakes the responsibility of providing the candidates with various Government posts and advises them on matters like formulation of Recruitment Rules (RR), promotions, transfers etc. MPSC has been entrusted with the major function of conducting examinations in the state for the appointment of the candidates on various positions under Government of Maharashtra and its allied organizations.

MPSC Application Form 2017

MPSC had recently invited applications to recruit 1008 eligible candidate for the post of Police Sub Inspector, Sales Tax Inspector, Assistant Section Officer in 2017. Candidates who have qualified the prelims exam can now fill their application form for the mains exam. Currently, Application Form is available for MPSC Sales Tax Inspector & Assistant Section Officer Main Exam 2017.

  • Unreserved category – Rs. 524/-
  • Backward category – Rs. 324/-

Documents to keep ready before applying:-

Mobile No: the 10 digit mobile number must be valid and kept active till the recruitment process is completed.

Email ID: the candidates will have to provide an active email ID.

  • Max size- 50 kb
  • Dimensions- breadth 3.5 cms x height 4.5 cms

Instruction for filling the Application Form

STEP 1 New User Registration / Create User Account (1st time user)
MPSC Police Sub Inspector, Sales Tax Inspector, Assistant Section Officer 2017 Application form.

Click on “New User Registration” and Fill all mandatory information ( marked with * ) and click on Create User button as highlighted below.

Fill User name, email id, mobile number, date of birth, password, confirm password, verification image and finally the text as shown in the image must be entered.

When you enter these details, you will be registered with the online system of Maharashtra Public Service Commission

STEP 2 Profile Creation (One time activity)

Login into the MPSC account by entering your Registered Username and Password. Home page will open and It will display Steps of Application Submission. Click on “Profile Creation” icon to begin. Profile is divided in 6 more stages:-

  • Personal Information : here the candidate’s personal information like Full name, Date of Birth, Maharashtra Domiciled, Disability, Caste/Category etc. is to be filled properly
  • Address Information : provide here your address information like Current Address details as well as Permanent Address details.
  • Other Information : this stage need the candidate’s other information like Ex-Serviceman, Govt employee, Sports person. Physical details like Height (in cms), Weight (in kgs), Chest inflated/deflated (in cms).
  • Qualification Information: enter Qualification details as shown

  • Experience Information: furnish here your Experience details if any.
  • Upload Photo/Signature: upload here your photograph and signature

STEP 3 Application Submission

Now visit the site at mahampsc.mahaonline.gov.in and enter your Username and Password, to access Online Application. Now press “Click Here to Apply”

After clicking the link you will come across the following window with pre-filled information. You must check all information displayed in application form. Fill all spaces if there are any left. Choose Post preference. click on Submit button after verifying the information.

STEP 4 Payment of Application Fees

For payment of the requisite amount as application charges, go to “My Account” and Click on Examination Type of Advertisement for which candidate want to pay the fees. pay the fees by clicking on Pay Now icon.

Notice the amount you have to pay:-

  • Unreserved classes – Rs.373/-
  • Backward classes – Rs.273/-

Option 1- Online Payment : Payment Gateway will open to proceed to the Online Payment Process. You may Pay your fees using Debit Card, Credit Card, Online Banking.

Option 2- Maha-e-Seva Kendra: If you select Maha-e-Seva kendra as Payment mode then Candidate should take print out of the Paying Slip and go to nearest Maha-e-Seva kendra for application fees payment.

Please note that the Paying slip is not the receipt of exam fees payment. You will need to go to your nearest Maha-e-Seva kendra and collect proper receipt of payment

Option 3- Bank Challan (SBI): take print out of the Challan and after 2-3 hrs, pay the fees in nearest SBI branch.
