What is the Eligibility Criteria?

To be eligible for the NIT Rourkela recruitment, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the same. The eligibility criteria for all the departments are different. Therefore candidates are advised to check the eligibility norms very carefully before applying for the post. Only the eligible candidates will be able to apply for the recruitment. The eligibility conditions are mentioned below:

  • For Engineering Departments– Candidates must possess First Class B.Tech./BE with PhD in relevant branch/discipline.
  • For Industrial Design- First Class B.Tech./B. Des. with PhD in relevant branch/discipline.
  • For Architecture- First Class B.Arch and M.Arch. and/or PhD
  • For Science / Humanities and Social Sciences Departments- First Class Masters’ Degree with PhD in the relevant discipline.
  • For School of Management- First Class MBA/PGDBM with PhD in management.

Note– The candidates applying for different departments must fulfil the eligibility criteria (educational qualifications) in respect to that department.

NIT Rourkela Recruitment 2017 Application Form

Candidates are advised to read the eligibility conditions before applying for the post.  The candidates can also apply for more than one posts at a time. There is no application fee to apply for the NIT Rourkela recruitment. The application form will be available on the official website of NIT at nitrkl.ac.in and then follow the given instructions.

  • After visiting the official website, go to the [email protected] section then select the recruitment and click on the apply online button.

Step 1: Registration

Candidates need to register first for the post and then fill the application form for the respective post. For registration, enter the name, date of birth, email address and submit it. A confirmation, link will be sent to the registered email id. Click on that link and with this the registration process is successful and applicants now proceed to fill the details in the online application form.

  • The application form will be filled in multiple session. The candidates must fill the required information in the application form in the spaces provided in the form and save it.
  • The filled in application forms will only be received through online mode.
  • After filling the application form candidates must take a printout of the of it. The printout of the application generated online should be submitted to an employer if shortlisted for interview.

NIT Rourkela Recruitment 2017 Merit

The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the Institute website. Candidates possessing the specified qualifying degrees in the allied branches with the superior academic record, appropriate course background, and relevant research experience may be considered on merit. The candidates who will be placed in merit will be shortlisted for the interview after screening by the Institute. Candidates who will be called for interview will have to produce original documents in support of all the particulars mentioned in their application form regarding their reservation category, educational qualification, experience, and other claims.
