NPCIL ET Eligibility Criteria 2016

Age limit

Age of candidate should be maximum 26 years for General candidates, 29 years for OBC candidates, 31 years for SC / ST candidates.

Educational qualification

Full time BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering (4 years duration) / 5 years Integrated M.Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks ( A minimum 60% marks means the marks as per the ordinance of the respective university/institutions) in any of the engineering disciplines.

NPCIL ET Online Test 2016 was held from 14-20 June 2016.

NPCIL ET Syllabus 2016

Exact syllabus of online test is not specified by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited. However a few key points that can be helpful in this matter are as follows.

  • Eligibility for this recruitment is BE / B.Tech or other degrees mentioned above. Exam will be designed in such a manner that it is suitable for such graduates.
  • Candidate should have ample knowledge of field, such as someone who is eligible for Mechanical discipline should know about Mechanical Engineering subjects taught in graduation.
  • Presence of mind, general aptitude are also tested.

Result for the post of Executive Trainee has been released by NPCIL after online test and interview.

  • NPCIL Executive Trainee online test results  indicates the list of candidates who have been shortlisted for interviews. Cut off marks to be obtained in online test is determined by NPCIL depending upon difficulty level of exam, average performance of candidates, minimum expectations of the company.
  •  After interview, list of candidates who are provisionally selected are put up.

NPCIL ET Selection Process 2016

The shortlisting of the candidates are done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the selection procedure prescribed by NPCIL. The details of the same are provided below.

There are two stages of selection

  1. Online Test
  2. Interview

Online Test

The applicants shall appear in the Online Test will be based on the Engineering disciplines and shall be held as per the schedule. NPCIL will analyse the performance of candidates and selected candidates shall be eligible to appear in the Interview.

Candidates who apply for NPCIL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2016 will appear for online test on date assigned to them between 14 and 20 June 2016. Marks are calculated and candidates are placed in order of merit. Top meritorious candidates who clear cut offs are qualified for next round, interviews.

Interview

This will be of 100 marks. Final selection is solely on the basis of performance in the Personal Interview. Minimum marks required are

  • Unreserved (General) candidate has to score minimum 70% marks.
  • Reserved category candidates including PWD has to score minimum 60% marks.

The Online Test qualified candidates shall be called for Interview at NPCIL Headquarters, Mumbai.Such candidates shall also be intimidated via Email / SMS. The Call Letter for Interview will be available on the official website as well as here for downloading. The Interview will carry 100 marks and candidates need to score 70% (60% for reserved categories)to qualify the same.

Interview will be considered as the final criteria for selection of the candidates keeping in mind the number of vacancies.
