The Nagaland Public Service Commission was set up in 1965 with a composition of one Chairman and two Members. The composition was revised in 1985 by addition of more Member. In 2007 the strength of members of the Commission was increased to 4 nos. Presently there are 1(one) Chairman and 4 (four) Members. NPSC(Nagaland Public service commission) has given an employment notification for the recruitment of 70 Secretariat Asst, Extra Asst Commissioner, Inspector of Taxes & Other vacancies. NPSC has disclosed 59 vacancies. Eligible candidates can apply online from December 11, 2017 to January 20, 2018.

Application Form

The candidate can download the application form (including Syllabus, pattern of examination & self-certification) from the Commission’s website at www.npsc.co.in. Commission Office will not issue the Application form. The candidate must complete all the prescribed documents as instructed in the application form. The candidate must have copy of recent passport photograph, original Examination fee receipt issued by the Commission/Bank Draft and a self-addressed envelope (9”x4”).Any application which is not fulfilling the instructions will be rejected. If a candidate submits the application form after the last date then the form will be rejected.

Note: For application submitted by registered post, a relaxation of 7 (seven) days will be granted provided it is address to the Secretary, Nagaland Public Service Commission and posted on or before the last date for submission of application.

Application Fee

Fees for the examination is Rs. 300/- and there are two methods for submitting the application fee :

  • By Demand Draft:
    Send the application form by registered post along with demand draft in favor of Secretary, Nagaland Public Service Commission, Kohima, payable at Kohima, as fees for examination.
  • By Cash:
    The candidate can submit the application form personally in the Commission’s Office.

The age on January 01, 2017 should be minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years.

Examination Pattern

  • There will be one combined paper on General English and General knowledge, and Paper-I & II(MCQ) in the Technical subject.

Documents Submission

  • Candidates must submit attested/self-attested photocopies of the following documents/materials to the Commission:
  • For the age proof candidate must have Adhar Card.
    Candidate should have  Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate/Scheduled Tribe Certificate/Backward Tribe Certificates as relevant and applicable.
    Physically handicapped candidate must have the certificate from competent medical authority.
    Candidate must have marksheets related to the respective University as the proof for the Educational Qualifications.
    Veterinary candidate should have registration certificates issued by Indian Veterinary Council/Nagaland Veterinary Council.
    If the candidate is an employee of the Government or Public Undertaking then there should not be any Objection Certificate from the Head of Department/Public Undertaking.
