The bank job seekers are invited to avail the golden opportunity to work with RBI as Assistants. The Reserve Bank of India is soon going to announce the application form filling from the eligible candidates to apply in online mode. The tentative dates are as follows.

RBI Assistant Application Form 2017 may start from 1st week of October 2017 and might be filled upto 4th week of October 2017 and no other mode of application will be accepted. The application shall be made by visiting the official website at You will soon find the link attached here using which you will fill up the form. There is no independent verification for the dates as yet, but here you will find the article all about application procedure. Required documents for form filling

  • Scanned photograph and scanned signature as per required specifications
  • Valid personal email ID and
  • Mobile No.- it should be kept active till Recruitment Process is completed
  • Application fees as mentioned- Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXS and Rs. 450/- for OBC/General

Note- Staff candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee and intimation charges.

Application Procedure

Candidates are required to visit the RBI website at and click the option “Recruitment for the post of Assistant” which will open a new screen. Here the candidates will select “New Registration” and fill up the registration form. First of all enter Name, Contact details and Email-id. Post submitting these details, candidates will receive a Provisional Registration Number and Password. Note it down carefully. In a few seconds, An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. Using the details, the candidate will begin filling up the application form according to the details asked. In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND NEXT” tab.

Basic Information

You are advised to verify the details before submitting. Ensure that the Name of the candidate/ Father/ Husband/ Category/ Date of Birth/ Address/ Mobile Number/ Email ID etc. is spelt correctly as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.

  • Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
  • Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb

  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)

Payment of Fees in Online Mode

Remember that the application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

After making the payment please wait for the intimation. It may take some time therefore, please do not press back button or refresh the page.

Confirmation Page

On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated. Take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form containing fee details. Please note that if the E-slip cannot be generated, it means that the online transaction has not been successful.

Non-generation of E-slip

Non-generation of ‘E-Receipt’ indicates PAYMENT FAILURE. If that happens, you may login again in some time and repeat the process of payment.

Print Application Form

Candidates are advised to take print of the online application. Please note the correctness of the details with the name as appearing on photo identity proof to be produced at the time of examination for verification.

The Female applicants who have changed first/ last/middle name after marriage must take special note of this. RBI will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of furnishing of incorrect and incomplete details in the application or omission to provide the required details in the application form.

Guidelines for uploading the images

The candidates who wish to apply online must have the scanned images of the photograph and signature as per the specifications given below.

(i) Photograph Image

  • Photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture.
  • The picture should be in colour, taken against a light-coloured background
  • Ensure there’s no “red-eye”
  • There should be no reflections of the specs
  • Remove accessories and ornaments like Caps, hats and shades
  • Religious head wear is allowed but it must not cover face
  • Dimensions preferred 200 x 230 pixels
  • File Size should be between 20kb–50 kb

(ii) Signature Image

  • Sign on white paper with Black Ink pen
  • The signature shall be printed put on Hall Ticket
  • In case of mismatch, the candidate may be disqualified
  • Dimensions preferred 140 x 60 pixels
  • File Size should be between 10kb – 20kb

Procedure for uploading the Images

You shall notice two separate links for uploading the photograph and signature. You should Click the respective link “Upload Photograph / Signature”. Now you will be directed to Browse & Select the location where the Scanned Photo / Signature file has been saved. Select the upload button to attach the file. Application shall be rejected If the face in the photograph or signature is unclear. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the generated online application forms.
