REET 2021: Expected Dates, Syllabus, Preparation Tips

REET 2021: Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan conducts the REET examination once a year to certify eligible candidates for recruitment as teachers in the state of Rajasthan. Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers is not a recruitment exam but it certifies Class 12/Graduate candidates with valid education degree for recruitment as teachers of Class I to VIII. There are two papers in the exam viz. Paper I (Class I to V) and Paper 2 (Class VI to VIII). REET 2021 official notification is expected soon at the official website rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. REET 2021

BSER conducted the previous year REET exam after a long gap of 3 years. 31000 vacancies were announced in the previous year while candidates aspiring for REET 2021 can expect the updated vacancy figures to come out soon for the upcoming exam. REET 2021 Exam Date

Last year, the REET exam was conducted in the month of April 2021 after a long gap of 3 years. Before that, the REET exam was conducted on February 11, 2018. However, previous year REET exam was initially scheduled to be held in February. In light of these facts, it can be expected that the REET exam is conventionally conducted in the month of February.

REET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

As per the available previous year notification of REET exam, candidates who have passed Class 12/Graduate exam and holds a relevant degree in education are eligible to apply for the exam. The updated REET 2021 eligibility criteria is expected to be available with the release of the updated official notification. Candidates can read about the eligibility criteria based on the previous year exam below.

REET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for Class I to V

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with 50% or more marks.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with 45% or more marks.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education as per provisions of the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulation, 2002.

OR

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with 50% or more marks.
  • Must have passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

  • Candidates must have a Graduate degree in any discipline.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.

REET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for Class VI to VIII

  • Candidates must have a Graduate degree.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Candidates must have a Graduate degree with 50% or more marks. and have a 1 year B.Ed. degree.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2 year B.Ed degree.

OR

  • Candidates must have a Graduate degree with 45% or more marks along with 1-year B.Ed degree.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2 years B.Ed as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).

OR

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 with 50% or more marks.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 4 years B.El.Ed.

OR

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 with 50% or more marks.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

  • Candidates must have a Graduate degree with 50% or more marks.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education).

REET 2021 Application Form

As per the previous iterations of the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET), the application form releases at the official website of the BSER. Candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria can apply online within the last date. Check out the step by step guide here to fill up REET 2021 application form as per schedule.

How to fill up REET 2021 Application Form?

Step 1: Visit the official website rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on RTET/REET option on the left side of the homepage.

Step 3: Click on the REET 2021 option.

Step 4: Register first by clicking on the “New Registration” option.

Step 5: Fill up the registration form and deposit the application fee online.

Step 6: Log in to the website using the credentials generated and fill up the online application form.

Step 7: Upload scanned copies of passport sized photograph & signature.

Step 8: Verify the details and submit the online application form.

Step 9: Generate a print out of the Confirmation Page and preserve it for future reference.

REET 2021 Application Fee

As per the previous year REET notification, candidates have to pay the application fee separately for both papers if they are applying for both the papers. However, those who are applying to appear in only one paper can do so by paying the fee amount for one paper only. It may be noted that the fee can be paid offline using Bank Challan or online using debit card. Check out the fee amount per paper and for both the papers below.

REET 2021 Exam Pattern

Based on previous year iterations of the REET exam, there are two papers. Paper 1 is for those who wish to get the certification for recruitment as a teacher of Class I to V. Whereas, Paper 2 is for those who intends to get certification for recruitment as a teacher of Class VI to VIII. Those who wish to get certification for both levels must take the test for both papers of REET 2021.

How to Prepare For REET 2021?

Candidates aspiring for recruitment as a teacher of Class I to VIII in Rajasthan have to crack the exam. As the exam is conducted through an objective type paper, candidates can avail a variety of solved papers and question banks to prepare for the exam. In addition, the following preparation tips can be useful in studying systematically for the exam.

Tip #1: At first, analyse the REET syllabus in details. Identify the important topics in each section and make a priority list of which one to study first.

Tip #2: Make a study time table as per time left before the exam. Allocate slots to the topics/subjects to be studied and ensure to complete the preparations in due time.

Tip #3: Ensure that there are regular revisions of the subjects studied otherwise, it is possible to forget important facts and figures with time.

Tip #4: Make short notes of important facts and figures from subjects like History, Geography & Science. Write down formulas and memorize them.

Tip #5: Refer to the previous year question papers of REET exam. Also, refer to solved papers and question banks to get an idea of the type and pattern of questions asked in the exam.

Tip #6: try and solve mock tests for the exam for advanced practice. Focus on time management and improving the number of good attempts by solving mock tests.

REET 2021 Admit Card

As per the previous year trends of the REET exam, the BSER releases the admit card through the official werbsite i.e. rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in only. Candidates are to be notified about the release of the admit card through popular dailies and the official website as well. It is also possible that the BSER sends the notification about release of admit cards through the registered email ID and mobile number of the candidates.

Important points to note about REET 2021 Admit Card

  • REET 2021 admit card is not send by post or through any other mode.
  • BSER advised candidates to preserve the copy of the online application form/challan to download the admit card since it is issued through candidate login.
  • Registered candidates can download the REET 2021 admit card from rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in by logging in with the registration number/password.
  • Producing the printed copy of the admit card at the exam centre is mandatory to appear in the exam.
  • Candidates are also advised to carry a valid photo identity proof to the exam centre.
  • Candidates can find important information about the date, time and exam venue from the admit card. Other important instructions may also be intimated throught he REET admit card.

REET 2021 Answer Key

Based on previous year trends of the exam, REET 2021 answer key is expected to release at the website rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. The answer key releases for all the sets of the question booklet. Candidates can download the same by visiting the website mentioned above.

REET 2021 answer key can be use to estimate the final score based on the marking criteria of the exam. Candidates may also raise objections as per schedule against the answer keys. The final answer key releases after consideration of the objections. Final evaluation of the candidates’ response sheets are done on the basis of the final answer keys only.

REET 2021 Result

REET 2021 result is expected to release at the website of BSER i.e. rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in after the exam. The result indicates the shortlisted candidates who qualify the exam by securing the minimum qualifying marks. Candidates who qualify in the exam are awarded the REET certificate for recruitment to the post of teacher in the state. The certificate remaions valid for a period of 7 years.
