Impact of Covid-19 on Government Examinations
The outbreak of the killer Covid-19 virus has sent the entire world in a pandemic of enormous scale. India too has been affected by the virus on a wide scale. As soon as cases started emerging in India, the government proactively closed down schools and colleges to put a pause on the spread of the virus. However, situations escalated very quickly as the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases and casualties started increasing. Currently, the government has imposed a lockdown in the entire nation to prevent social gatherings and the spread of the virus.
Several government recruitment examinations have been postponed or rescheduled in India in the last two to three weeks. As people are stuck within their homes, there is no way that any government body or recruiting agency can organize selection tests without the risk of the spread of the virus. Therefore, most government jobs examinations have been indefinitely postponed in India.
