The computer-based test (CBT 1) for the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment exam was concluded by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). As of now, the results for CBT 1 of NTPC have been declared on January 14, 2022. Candidates can download the RRB Chennai Result 2022 for NTPC from the regional website rrbchennai.gov.in. The CBT 2 will be conducted in February, 2022. For RRB Group D, the CBT exam will take place on February 23, 2022.

RRB Chennai Result 2022 for NTPC
Candidates who have appeared for RRB Chennai NTPC exam can get their results for CBT 1 on January 15, 2022. The results can now be downloaded from the official website – rrbchennai.gov.in. To check the results, here are the steps that one can follow.

Step 3- Enter roll number, date of birth and mobile number followed by captcha
Step 4- Click on the ‘Login’ button

CBT 1- The CBT 1 examinations under RRB Chennai NTPC recruitment were conducted from December 28, 2020 to July 31, 2021. In the first stage, there were 100 questions from General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. A duration of 90 minutes was given to the candidates. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for CBT 2.
CBT 2- The second stage of RRB Chennai NTPC recruitment is going to be held for a duration of 90 minutes. Candidates will be required to answer a total of 120 questions from General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. Every incorrect answer will attract 1/3 negative marking.
CBAT & TST- There will be a computer-based aptitude test (CBAT) for those candidates who have opted for posts like Traffic Assistant and Station Master. The typing skill test (TST) will also be held for posts like senior clerk cum typist, junior accounts assistant, senior time keeper, etc.
DV- In the final stage, the shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification based on their performance in CBT 2 and/or CBT 2 along with CBAT & TST. If two or more candidates secure the same marks, then there will be tie-breaking as per the age criteria.
RRB Chennai Result 2022 for Group D
The RRB Chennai Group D results are going to be published after the conclusion of the examination. As per an official notification, the examination will tentatively be conducted on February 23, 2022. To know how to download the results after the exam concludes, take a look at the steps given below.

CBT- RRB Chennai is expected to conduct one or multiple computer based tests (CBTs). The examination will be held for a duration of 90 minutes having 100 questions. The subjects included in the exam are General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and Current Affairs.
PET- Based on the performance of the candidates in CBT, aspirants will be shortlisted for physical efficiency test (PET). The criterion for both male and female candidates is different. Please note that it will just be a qualifying examination.
DV- The document verification will be held based on the performance of the candidates in CBT and qualification status in PET. However, the number of candidates for DV is going to be twice the vacancies. For tie-breaking in terms of marks, the age criterion will be followed.

About RRB Group D
The Group D examination under RRB is somewhat similar to NTPC. It is conducted for various posts that fall under level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. For example, posts such as assistant pointsman, assistant bridge, assistant track machine, assistant TRD, etc. are filled via this exam. Candidates who will qualify for the first round, i.e. CBT will then be called for Physical Efficiency Test or PET.
