RRB JE Document Verification 2019: Check the List of Required Documents Here

RRB JE Document Verification 2019: The RRB JE Document Verification is the third stage after the CBT 1 and CBT 2. Candidates after qualifying the CBT 2 must present certain documents for verification. While CBT 1 is a screening test, candidate’s performance in the CBT 2 determines the qualification for the Document Verification Process. The Document Verification is done to check the eligibility of a candidate in regards to education, age, etc. A candidate is also required to upload these documents online, on the official website of the RRB Document Verification. RRB JE Document Verification 2019

RRB JE Document Verification is done to verify eligibility claims made by a candidate during the Application filling process. A candidate cannot move further in the selection process without appearing for the Document Verification. Here is the schedule related to the RRB JE Document Verification 2019

Understanding the Document Verification

The Document Verification is a crucial step under the RRB JE Recruitment Process. This procedure is done to verify the eligibility of a candidate in different fields. A candidate fills the eligibility essentials during the Application procedure and the DV is done to verify these essentials. List of four broad eligibility fields checked under the DV process:

  • Educational Qualifications
  • Date of Birth
  • Identity
  • Reservation Status

How Candidates are called for the Document Verification

There are two stages of CBT under RRB JE. The first phase of the CBT(CBT  is a screening test, on the basis of which, candidates are selected for the second phase of CBT. Meanwhile, candidates are shortlisted for the Document Verification process based on CBT 2. The list is made after the normalization of marks, which helps in the development of a Merit Index. If two candidates have the two marks, the person older in age gets the preference. This is the formula used for the Normalization of marks.

Standby List

Candidates who make the Merit List are called for the Document Verification. The number of these candidates are as much as the number of the vacancies. But apart from these candidates, a standby list is also prepared, where as much as 50% of the candidates, the times of vacancies are called for the DV, which means as many as 6700 extra candidates are called for the DV. These candidates can get a chance to be selected if there is a shortfall of shortlisted candidates.

Documents Required by a Candidate During the DV

A candidate requires a certain set of documents during the DV process. These documents prove the eligibility of a candidate in all respects. A candidate must carry all the documents in original, along with the two-self attested photocopies.  Here is a list of the documents that must be produced during the Document Verification process

Caste Certificate for SC/ST category Proves the caste category claim of a candidate
Self-declaration for Ex-Service man Proves the candidate served in army for the required period and is discharged now
OBC NCL Certificate Proves that the candidate belongs to the Non-Creamy Layer of the OBC category
Income Certificate for Examination Fee Waiver Proves the candidate belongs to a low income setup
Minority Community Declaration on non-judicial stamp paper Proves the candidate belongs to a Minority Community
NOC from serving employees Proves the candidate has the freedom to get employment under the RRB JE recruitment
NOC from serving Defence Personnel stating the date of discharge Proves the candidate has been allowed to get employment under the RRB JE recruitment
Gazetted document showcasing the name change, in case of a name change Proves the candidate has officially changed the name
Receipt of payment in case of a SBI Challan or Post Office payment Proves the candidate has paid the fee offline
Self certification by Transgender Proves that the candidate identifies as a transgender
J & K Domicile Certificate Proves that the candidate belongs to the state of Jammu and Kashmir
Decree of divorce or judicial separation and Affidavit mentioning the candidate has not remarried Proves that the candidate is divorced and has not remarried after the divorce.
Death Certificate and Affidavit mentioning the candidate has not remarried Proves that the candidate is a widow and has not remarried after the death of her husband,

Points to Note

  • The Educational Qualification Certificate/Degree must contain the date of issue.
  • If the documents are in some other language other than Hindi and English then a translated version should be brought. The translation version should be in English and Hindi, and it should be self-attested. The documents are only accepted in either English or Hindi.
  • Candidates must submit the documents during the time of verification, no extension of dates is allowed by the RRB.

Uploading the Documents Online

The documents must also be submitted online, on the website related to the RRB Document Verification. A candidate should follow these points when uploading the documents online:

  • A candidate must submit all the documents before the deadline for online upload ends.
  • Single Page Documents must be in the JPEG/JPG format or PDF format.
  • Multiple Page Documents must only be in PDF format.
  • For a single page document, image size should be between 50-300 Kb.
  • For multiple page document, the image size should be between 50-500 Kb.
  • Single Page document means single page documents like Matric Certificate, Intermediate/PUC Certificate, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, etc.
  • Multiple Page documents means multiple pages saved as one, like all Semester marksheets saved as one page, Discharge certificate saved as one document, etc.

Format of the Certificates and Documents

A candidate must produce a certain set of documents in a prescribed format. It is essential to follow this format or the document may not be accepted when the Document Verification takes. One can download the forms in the format issued by the RRB for these certificates.

Admit Card

Candidates must also produce their Admit Card when the Document Verification takes place. It is mandatory to carry the Admit Card. The Admit Card contains basic details like the Name of Candidate, Date of Birth, Exam shift, session and city, etc. It will be available on the official website of the all 21 RRBs and a candidate must go to the respective RRB in order to download the E-Call Letter.

SC/ST candidates, who applied for the Travel Authority during the Application procedure, can avail this benefit for the Document Verification Process too. A candidate from the SC/ST category can travel in the Sleeper Class of a Train courtesy of the Travel Authority. The SC/ST Travel Authority must be produced in front of a ticket checker or Reservation Officer. It is also necessary to carry the SC/ST category Certificate and a valid ID proof.

Medical Examination

Candidates who are selected for the Document Verification Process also must undergo a Medical Standard test. Under this test, various physical aspects of a candidate are checked. A candidate must fulfill certain physical, and especially visual requirements to be eligible for appointment. It is mandatory to pass the Medical Examination in order to continue with the RRB JE Selection Process. The level for the Medical Examination range from A-1 to C-1 and the minimum  level differs as per the different types of posts. These levels are in compliance with the Indian Railway Medical manual.
