RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019 – Check the Complete Exam Pattern for CBT 1, CBT 2

RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019 – The RRB JE Recruitment 2019 involves three stages which are, CBT 1, CBT 2 and further followed by the round of Document Verification. It is important for the aspirants to be aware of the RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019 to start preparing for the exam as per it. Exam Pattern is crucial as candidates get to know about the scheme of the exam, marking scheme, type of question, duration, mode, subjects form which questions will be asked in the exam. RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019

The RRB JE CBT stage 1 exam is expected to be held in April or May 2019. It is expected that RRB will soon release the exact exam dates for CBT 1. Candidates can check the important dates of the RRB JE by referring to the table below.

RRB JE CBT Stage 1 Exam Pattern 2019

The RRB JE Recruitment comprises of 2 stages of CBT. Candidates can check the exam pattern in detail given below.

  • Duration: CBT stage 1 will be of 90 minutes. PwBD category candidates will get 120 minutes for the exam.
  • Languages – The exam is going to be held in 15 languages, English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.
  • Questions – There will be 100 objective type questions in the exam.
  • Marking Scheme – Each question carries one marks. 1/3 of the marks is deducted from the total score for every incorrect answer.
  • Subjects – Questions in the exam are pertaining to:

– Mathematics
– Reasoning and General Intelligence
– General Awareness
– General Science

General Awareness: Questions in this section will be from current affairs and general knowledge.

  • Knowledge of Current affairs

  • Indian Economy
  • Environmental issues concerning India and the World
  • Sports
  • General scientific and technological developments

General Science: The questions in this section are based on the syllabus of class up to class 10th. IT will be asked from the topics like:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Life Sciences

RRB JE CBT 1 Cutoff Marks 2019

Candidates are shortlisted for the CBT stage 2 if the candidate has obtained the cut off marks in the stage 1 exam. The minimum qualifying marks are different for each category. Refer to the table below.

PwBD category candidates will get relaxation of 2% in the marks.

RRB JE CBT Stage 2 Exam Pattern 2019

Candidates qualifying the CBT stage 1 exam will be shortlisted for the stage 2 exam. To know the pattern of examination in detail, check the information given below.

  • Duration of Exam: Candidates will get 2 Hours for the CBT stage 2. PwBD category candidates will get 160 minutes for the exam.
  • Total No. of questions: The total number of questions is 150.
  • Language of the exam: The CBT 2 will be held in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.
  • Marking Scheme – For every correct answer, one marks are awarded. 1/3 of the marks is deducted from the total score for every wrong answer.
  • Subjects: The question in the exam will be asked from like:

– General Awareness
– Physics and Chemistry
– Basics of Computers and Applications
– Basics of Environment and Pollution Control
– Technical Abilities

RRB JE CBT 2 Syllabus 2019

Physics and Chemistry – The question in this section will be based up to CBSE class 10 syllabus.

General Awareness: This section tests the candidates’ ability to solve questions related to general knowledge and current affairs. Questions will be pertaining to the topics like:

  • Indian Geography
  • Culture & History of India including Freedom struggle, Indian Polity, and Constitution
  • Indian Economy
  • Environmental issues concerning India and the world

Basics of Computers and Applications: This section will test a candidate’s skills to solve questions realted to the field of computer. It can be asked from the topics like:

  • Input and Output Devices
  • Storage Devices

  • Operating Systems like Windows, Linux, Unix
  • MS Office- Various data interpretations
  • Internet & Email

Technical Abilities Syllabus: Questions in this section can be asked from the topics given in the pdf below.

RRB JE CBT 2 Cutoff Marks 2019

To be eligible for the Document Verification round, it is mandatory for the candidates to obtain the minimum qualifying marks. The cut off marks for each category is specified in the table below.

How to Prepare for RRB JE
