SBI PO 2020 Admit Card
State Bank released the Admit card of SBI PO exam online at the official website sbi.co.in. Candidates must note that without a valid admit card, they may not be allowed to appear in the exam. As such, candidates must download the SBI PO 2020 admit card from the website in their own interest. Separate admit cards are released for each phase as well as the pre-exam training.
In addition to the SBI PO 2020 admit card, the SBI also releases the “acquaint yourself booklet”. Candidates can download the SBI PO 2020 admit card by logging in to the website using the Registration Number & Password. It must be noted that admit cards are not sent in hard copy to any candidate.
Important points to note about SBI PO 2020 Admit Card
- In addition to the SBI PO 2020 admit card, candidates must also carry a valid photo identity proof (e.g. passport, voter card, AADHAR card etc.) to the exam centre.
- Candidates must carry photocopies of the ID proof. It must be submitted to the invigilator along with the SBI PO 2020 admit card.
- There will be provisions for Biometric verification at different stages.

SBI PO 2020 Exam Scheme & Pattern
The State Bank has indicated the complete details of the recruitment selection tests. A three phase selection process is involved where the first two phases consist of selection tests. Phase I (Preliminary Exam)

Phase II (Main Exam)
Similar to the Prelims, the Main exam is conducted online in designated centres only. However, the question paper for the Main exam consist of both objective type and descriptive type questions. Descriptive Test
The descriptive test is administered after candidates have completed the objective test. Candidates have to type in the answers of the descriptive test on the computers provided at the test centre. The exam is conducted for a duration of 30 minutes. The subject of the test is English language and the questions are based on Essay & Letter Writing. Candidates will have to answer 2 questions. The total marks of the descriptive test is 50.
How to Prepare for SBI PO 2020?
Candidates intending to appear in the SBI PO 2020 exam must be aware that there is only a limited number of chances one can get. As such, candidates must be very focused on preparations and always aim to crack the exam in the first attempt. Here, we are providing some preparation tips for SBI PO 2020.
#1: Always have a plan. Make a study schedule and allocate timelines to complete preparations of each topic based on the exam pattern.
#2: Make sure to get access to previous year question papers of SBI PO exam. This way, candidates can become acquainted with the type & nature of the questions asked.

SBI PO 2020 Selection Process
The State Bank of India conducts a three stage selection process for recruitment to fill up vacancies for the post of Probationary Officer. Candidates are advised to ensure that they refer to the detailed advertisement for the complete understanding of the selection process. Phase I (Prelims exam) – Registered candidates are issued admit card to appear in the Prelims exam which is conducted as a online test in designated centres. Category-wise merit lists are drawn based on the aggregate marks secured in the Prelims. There is no sectional cut-off. The number of candidates selected is approximately 10 times the available number of vacancies. Candidates must qualify the Phase I exam to appear in the Phase II exam.
Phase II (Main exam) – Similar to the Phase I exam, the Phase II exam is also conducted online in test centres. However, the Main exam consist of an Objective & a Descriptive paper. Category-wise merit lists are drawn based on the aggregate marks secured in the exam. There are no sectional cut-offs. Candidates, about 3 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted from the merit lists of Phase II. Only those who are shortlisted become eligible to appear in the Phase III selection stage.
Phase III (Interview/Group Exercise) – Those who qualify the Phase II exam are issued admit cards to appear in the Phase III selection test. The tests may include an interview of marks or interview (30 marks) & group exercise (20 marks). Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying mark as decided by the Bank in Phase III to qualify for final selection.
Final Selection

SBI PO 2020 Pay Scale
As per the detailed advertisement of SBI PO 2020, candidates will be appointed at a starting basic pay of Rs 27620 (with 4 advance increments). The appointment is at the scale of Rs 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I.
In addition to the aforementioned emoluments, candidates are also entitled to receive DA, HRA, Lease Rental, CCA, Medical and other allowances and perquisites.

Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a Graduate degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized University.
- Candidates having equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates in the final year/semester of graduation are also eligible to apply. However, if called for interview, candidates have to provide proof of having passed the graduate degree exam on or before 31.12.2020.
- Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree can also apply provided that they pass the exam on or before 31.12.2020.
