There are the different number of vacancies for the different eligible candidates. There are total 270 vacancies in the departments of Graduate Apprentice (100), Technician (Diploma) Apprentice (50) and Technician (ITI) Apprentice (120).Training duration will be 1 Year.No extension of training and employment will be given after the completion of one-year training by SJVN. Scale of Pay: Selected candidates will get deployed to the advertised posts and receive the salary as per government rules. The stipend of the candidates can be seen as.
- Graduate Apprentices – Rs. 10,000/- per month
- Diploma Holders – Rs. 8,000/- per month.
- ITI Candidates – Rs. 5,000/- per month
Eligibility Criteria
For Graduate Apprentices: They should have full-time Degree in Engineering / Technology in related branch, from Institute/ University recognized by AICTE
For Technician (Diploma ) Apprentices: They should have full-time diploma in Engineering/Technology in relevant branch, from Institute/ University recognized by AICTE/ Board of Technical Education of State
Technician (ITI) apprentices: They should have done minimum 10th Pass and two years ITI course in relevant Branch /Trade or 10+2 level vocational course in relevant branch/ Trade.
Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum will be 30 Years as on closing date (Relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST; 03 years for OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) & 10 years for PWDs).
Note:
- In case if seats in any trade /discipline are not filled/ remain vacant due to non-availability of eligible candidates, the same will be diverted to other trade/discipline.
- The candidates who after the completion of their education have undergone training or job experience of one year or more shall not be considered eligible for apprenticeship training. Even if the gap between the declaration of result and the commencement of training is more than three years, the candidate will be declared not eligible.
- Only Candidates who are domicile of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply.

The application form for SJVN Recruitment for Apprenticeship Training has been released. The interested applicants are strongly advised to furnish the details asked in the form as honestly and correctly as possible. These details are subject to verification. If it is found at any later stage that the candidates have provided wrong information in any column then his candidature may be rejected. Aspirants must possess a valid mobile number and email id for communication purpose. Then inform, provide personal details and educational qualification. Also, there will be the requirement of uploading scanned photographs and signature in (.jpg or .jpeg file only, less than 500 KB size).
Note:
- Reservation of seats for SC, ST, and OBC will be as per the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and its amendments thereafter.
- 25% of the total seats are earmarked for candidates from Project Affected Families (PAF) and Projected Affected Areas (PAA) of SJVN with first preference to members of Project Affected Families.
Selection Process
The candidates will be shortlisted according to the marks in 10th, 12th, ITI Course/ Diploma and Bachelor of Engineering/Technology. There will be no interview process. The marks weightage is divided depending on the post applied for. The candidates need to fill up the correct pieces of information on the application form. If any candidate will give the wrong information, the application of that candidate will be canceled. The marks weightage is as follows:-
