Why is the SSC CGL 2019 Final Result delayed?
The court case was initiated as public interest litigation (PIL) as some of the candidates found the normalization process implemented by the staff selection commission (SSC) to be extremely unjust. They are being represented in court by Adv. Gupta. The tier 1 exam was conducted from March 3, 2020 to March 9, 2020. The candidates qualifying the cutoff set by the commission appeared for the tier 2 exam which was held from 15 Nov 2020 to 18 Nov 2020.
As the exam is conducted in various shifts, the difficulty level may vary. So, to equalize the difficulty level of examination final scores of students are calculated by using the normalization process. However, the difficulty level of the 18th November exam was widely considered to be very easy with respect to the previous shift of 15th and 16th November. This created huge inequalities in raw marks and a reduction of more than 300-400 marks for 18th November students and an increment of 70-80 marks for 15th and 16th November students in extreme cases
