SSC CHSL Analysis, Question Paper, Answer Key: All of the 03 shifts of the first day SSC CHSL 2020 exam are over now. While the official answer keys of the exam are published at ssc.nic.in after the exam, memory based answer keys and exam analysis of Tier I exam held today are available, here. Besides, we provide a detailed analysis of the question paper of the exam held today in this article, for all shifts of the day. Read on to know about the level of difficulty and the question pattern of the exam.

Exam analysis of English Language section

Number of questions

  • There were 25 questions in this section

Level of difficulty

  • The level of difficulty in this section was easy to moderate

Question pattern

  • Cloze test was based on Ajanta caves
  • One word substitution were also asked in the English section.
  • Simple antonyms and synonyms were asked in both shift 01 & 02.
  • Basic idioms were asked such as “behind the scene” and “hats off”.
  • Idioms were also common and simple in shift 02.
  • Active/passive voice type questions were asked in the second shift.
  • Cloze test was based on Uttarakhand – the valley of flowers in the third shift.
  • Basic synonyms and antonyms were asked such as the antonym of “exhale” and “prim”.
  • Spelling corrections were included.
  • Idioms and phrases were included which were of moderate level.

Exam analysis of General Intelligence section

Number of questions

  • There were 25 questions in this section

Level of difficulty

  • The level of difficulty in this section of reasoning and intelligence was easy to moderate

Question pattern

  • 02 questions were asked from missing number type.
  • Letter cluster type series questions were asked in this section.
  • Letter series based questions were also asked.
  • There were no questions from distance & direction
  • Questions were also not asked from clock & calender.
  • Sitting arrangement based questions were not asked.
  • 01 question from syllogism and 01 from counting figures were asked
  • Cube & dice and blood relation based questions were asked,.
  • Questions from coding-decoding were excluded.
  • Analogy based questions were asked.
  • Figure based mirror image and Venn diagrams were also asked.
  • Statement based syllogism questions were asked in second shift.
  • Number based analogy were asked in the second shift.
  • Cluster letter series based questions were asked in the reasoning section.
  • Number series based questions were asked in the third shift.
  • Word-based coding-decoding questions were asked in the third shift.
  • Venn diagram based questions were asked in the third shift.
  • Age-based logical reasoning questions were asked in the third shift.

Exam analysis of Quantitative Aptitude section

Number of questions

  • There were 25 questions in this section

Level of difficulty

  • Level of difficulty of this section was easy to moderate
  • The level of difficulty of this section was easier in shift 02.

Question pattern

  • Triangle based questions were asked in mensuration
  • Simple interest based calculative questions were asked.
  • In Geometry, triangle and circle based questions were asked.
  • Questions were asked from trigononmetric equations based on simple trigonometric values.
  • Simple mensuration based questions were asked in this section.
  • Speed and distance based questions were asked.
  • Questions related to simple algebraic formula were also asked.
  • Divisibility theorem based questions were asked in both the shifts.
  • Questions related to equation of circle were asked which were beyond the level of CHSL.
  • Questions related to trigonometric values were asked.
  • Questions related to circle were asked in basic mensuration.
  • Questions related to rectangles were asked in mensuration.
  • Questions related to profit & loss were asked.
  • Trigonometric value-related questions were asked in the third shift.
  • Algebraic equation-based calculative questions were asked.
  • Time & work-related questions were asked in the third shift.

Exam analysis of General Awareness section

Number of questions

  • There were 25 questions in this section

Level of difficulty

  • Level of difficulty of this section was easy to moderate.
  • The level of difficulty of this section in the second shift was moderate.

Question pattern

  • Questions were asked about the cricket board of India and Indian cricket.
  • Questions were asked from basic science
  • Geography questions were repeated from the previous year CHSL exam.
  • Questions were asked from Biology
  • Simple GK question related to Indian history were asked.
  • History questions in GK included some from the Indian dynasties.
  • Factual questions were asked from very recent current affairs.
  • Indian constitution based questions were asked in the General Awareness section.
  • In the second shift, repeated questions were asked from previous year.
  • Questions related to five year plans of India were asked.
  • History questions were asked from dynasties of India.
  • Dams and river based question were asked in geography related awareness in the second shift.
  • Questions were asked on important books and novels.
  • Similar to shift 01, questions from sports events were asked in the second shift.
  • Topics were repeated from the previous shifts.
  • One question was asked based on Nobel prize winner.
  • Again, questions were asked from the Indian Constitution in the second shift.
  • Questions related to basic chemistry were asked in the second shift.
  • Questions were asked about physical constants.
  • In the third shift, questions about Indian polity was included.
  • Current events of 2019 were asked
  • Questions were included from Mughal dynasties
  • Questions about Indian Constitution were present.
