SSC MTS 2018 Exam – Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Recruitment for Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) in Different States and Union Territories. The Recruitment Process SSC MTS 2018 will start from November 03, 2018, with the commencement of the Application Form. The last date of Filling the application form is in the same month December 03, 2018. SSC will release the notification for SSC MTS 2018 Exam on its official website i. e. ssc.nic.in.
The candidate who has the Matriculation and is under the prescribed age are eligible to apply. The eligible candidates who will fill the application form will get the Admit Card for SSC MTS Exam 2018 of Paper – I. The Exam dates for Paper – I & Paper -II have not been announced yet. The selection of the candidates is based on the Paper I & Paper II. In order to get selected the candidates have to qualify both stages. SSC MTS 2018 Exam
Last year 70 Lakh students applied for the SSC MTS Exam, the exam was held on April 16, 30, & May 07, 2018. The examinations were conducted to fill 8300 posts. Eligibility Criteria of SSC MTS 2018
Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit – The candidate should be 18-25 years as on August 01, 2018. Age relaxation policy is also applicable here.
Educational Qualification – Must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board. The candidate who has not acquired the proof of the Educational Qualification, but can acquire it till August 01 2018, is also eligible to apply.
Note: Candidate should note that the Matriculation Certificate will require for cross-checking their Date of Birth. So they should fill the same date in the application form, as no other document will be considered.
Application Form for SSC MTS Exam
SSC will release the Application form for the MTS Exam on its official website i.e. ssc.nic.in. The candidates who wish to apply should check the eligibility criteria first. The mode for filling the application form will be online, but candidates can submit the application form online as well as offline. In order to apply the candidate need to keep some important documents ready such as Adhaar Card, Signature, Photograph in digital format. At first, the candidates need to register themselves first. Then they will be able to fill the application form and submit the application fee.
Application Fee: Last year the application fee for the SSC MTS 2018 Exam is Rs. 100/-. And SC / ST, Ex-serviceman, and Woman candidates were exempted from paying the fee.

Note: All the details on the Admit card should be correct and verifiable. If a candidate provides any wrong information in application form then, his/ her candidature can be cancelled by the Commission.
Admit Card of SSC MTS 2018 Exam
After completion of the Application process, Commission will assign the Admit card to the Candidates. Only those candidates can acquire the Admit card who will fill the application form correctly with the proper fee. SSC will release the Admit Card on its official website i. e. ssc.nic.in. The commission will not be sent any admit card to candidates by post or by any other medium. So the only mode of getting the admit card is online. SSC will release the Admit card in two stages firstly for Paper I and Secondly for Paper II.
To download the admit card candidates will need the Roll number and Date of Birth. Admit card is an important document for the exams. So if any candidate is unable to download the Admit card form the website, he /she should communicate to the Commission as soon as possible. After downloading the Admit Card, please check for all the on it are correct or not. If not then there could be trouble. SSC MTS Examination Scheme
There will be two papers in SSC MTS 2018 Exam. The written examination will consist of (Paper-I) objective type paper and (Paper II) descriptive type as shown below :

The Commission reserves the right to set the questions additionally in regional languages subject to technical feasibility.
The candidate will be required to write short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. The candidates with a special need will be given the extra time to write the exam. the General candidates will get 30 minutes to write the exam. As this examination is descriptive type so, there is no scope for negative marking. But candidates are advised to write as clear as possible so that they could skip the deduction marks due to bad handwriting.

Answer Key for SSC MTS 2018 Exam
After completion of Paper – I, SSC will release the Answer key For Paper – I. Commission will not release the Answer key for Paper -II as paper-II is descriptive type. SSC will release the answer key on its official website i. e. ssc.nic.in. The candidates can check the Answer key by either visiting the official website, or they can check the Answer key page form the Quick Link section.
The purpose of releasing Answer Key is that the candidates can check their marked answers, and can estimate their chances of the selection. If any candidate is not satisfied with his /her result they can wait for the final result. The final result will remove all the confusion which could arise due to Answer key Releasing.
Result of SSC MTS 2018 Exam
As the examination of SSC MTS recruitment process will be held in two parts, So the result for each paper will be released separately. The result of paper 1 indicates the list of paper 1 qualified candidates who can appear in paper 2. And the result of Paper -ii will indicate the finally selected candidates for the Training. SSC will release the result on its official website i. e. ssc.nic.in. The candidates can check their result on the official website or they can do the same, by clicking on the “Result” keyword in the Quick link Section.
The selection procedure of SSC MTS 2018 Exam consisting of two stages, i.e Paper I and Paper -II. The eligible candidates who will fill the application form on time will able to appear in the Paper – I. Paper – I is objective type. In this stage, the candidates have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to appear in the next stage.
The selected candidates of the Paper – I will have to attempt the Paper – II of SSC MTS 2018 Exam. The Paper – II is qualifying in nature. SSC will consider the marks on Paper – I for preparing the merit list.
Compilation of Merit List
SSC will compile the Final Merit list on the basis of the performance of candidates in Paper-I. Because Paper-II will only of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State will be fixed at the discretion of the Commission. Candidates for each State/UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper-II.
Resolution of Tie in SSC MTS 2018 Exam
If two or more candidates secured same marks in Paper -I then, Commission will resolve the tie by considering these points
- Firstly SSC will consider the marks in the Part – III (General English) of Objective type paper. The candidate with more marks will get the preference.
- If a tie still persists, then SSC will consider the marks in Part – II (Numerical Aptitude) of Objective type paper.
- If still tie remains then the older candidate will get preference.
- Finally, the alphabetical order of the name will be considered, if a tie still persists.
