SSC MTS 2018 Exam – The Multi Tasking Staff(Non-Technical) Recruitment Exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. This exam is for group-c recruitment process and it is a non-technical staff. The recruitment process will be starting from August 04, 2018. Usually, this examination takes place in the month of August-September, but this time the exam schedule has a little variation. Ths year the SSC MTS 2018 Exam will take place in December 2018 & January 2019. The application form for the SSC MTS exam will be released by the SSC on August 04, 2018, and the candidate has to fill the form before the specified schedule.

As this year, the examination has little variation in the schedule so the candidate should note the schedule of the examination from here. This step could save the candidature of the candidates. So candiadtes are advised to check teh eligibility criteria before applying for the examination.

SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria
Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit – 18-25 years as on August 01, 2018. Age relaxation policy is also applicable here.
Educational Qualification – Must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board.
Candidates who have not acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and acquire documentary evidence from the Board/University in support thereof as on 01.08.2017 will also be eligible.
SSC MTS Application Form
The online submission of the application form may be done on the official website of SSC. The candidates can get all the instructions to fill the application form on the “Application Form” Page. Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. At first, the candidates have to fill the basic information and have to do the registration on the SSC website. After that by uploading photograph and signature and educational qualification the candidate can complete the application form. But the process has not over yet. The payment should be made before the last date with a preferred option. The direct link to the application form will be made available here.
SSC MTS Admit Card
After completion of the application process, the SSC will assign the admit card to those candidates who will submit the application form successfully before the last date. The admit card will be released online on the official website of commission. The candidates can get the admit card by visiting the official website, or they can do the same from this page as well. As a direct link to the admit card will be activated here after the admit card will be available by commission.
SSC MTS Examination Scheme
The written examination will consist of (Paper-I) objective type paper and (Paper II) descriptive type as shown below :
The questions will be set both in English & Hindi. The Commission reserves the right to set the questions additionally in regional languages subject to technical feasibility. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions. Duration: 90 Minutes for General Candidates & 02 Hours for Visually Handicapped /
Cerebral Palsy Candidates. The subjects will be asked in the paper I are given below.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning
- Numerical Aptitude
- General English
- General Awareness
The candidate will be required to write short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of recategorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements. Paper-II will be held only for such candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories. Duration: 30 Minutes
SSC MTS Answer Key
Answer key for the exam will be released for only Paper-I, as paper-I will be objective type. The Paper-II will be descriptive type. So the candidates have to check the answer key for only Paper I. SSC will release the answer key on its website. The candidates can check the answer key on the website, or they can do the same form the answer key page, navigate it from the quick link section.
SSC MTS Result
As the examination of SSC MTS recruitment process will be held in two parts, So the result for each paper will be released separately. The result of paper 1 indicates the list of paper 1 qualified candidates who can appear in paper 2. After paper 2 comes the final result with the list of candidates selected for appointment. All the result for the paper I & II will be released on the SCC website. SO the link result for each paper will be updated here accordingly.
SSC MTS Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for the Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. Paper-II will only of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State will be fixed at the discretion of the Commission. Candidates for each State/UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying
standards fixed in Paper-II.
