Tamil Nadu Civil Judge Exam 2018 – Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission invites applications for Tamil Nadu Civil Judge Exam 2018. TNPSC has declared the Oral Test Result for Tamil Nadu Civil Judge 2018 at official website i.e. tnpsc.gov.in. The applications are invited form the interested and eligible candidates in the prescribed format for direct recruitment to the post of Civil Judge in the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Service. The recruitment process started from April 09, 2018, for the recruitment of 320 vacancies. The exam was conducted to select the candidates for the post of civil judge in various district/subordinate courts of Tamil Nadu. The interested candidates are advised to check the eligibility once so that their application would not be rejected by the boards if they found eligible for the post later. Application Form

The application form for the Tamil Nadu Civil Judge Exam 2018 has been released by the TNPSC. The candidates who are interested are advised to check the eligibility set by the boards. The application form is available on the official website of board. The candidates who are eligible as well as interested can apply for the post before the last date with the requisite amount of fee. The candidates can submit the application fee online as well as offline. If a candidate chooses the offline fee submission then he/she have to pay the fee within the two days from the date of filing the application. The application form is also available on this page. Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are applying for the exam should fit into the parameters set by the boards.

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: For general category candidates the age limit is 25 to 30 years.

  • For Practising Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors and with the category SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes. The age should be between 25 to 40 years.
  • For Fresh Law Graduates and for all category candidates the age of the candidate should be between 22 to 27 years.

Educational Qualification: The candidates who are applying for the post should have the degree according to the provided details.

For Practising Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors: The candidate should have the degree in Law from a recognized university of India. and must be practicing as an Advocate or pleader in any court for a period of not less than 3 years.

For Fresh Law Graduates: The candidate must be the holder of Law Degree from any recognized university. and should be eligible to enroll as a Lawyer. Should have secured an overall percentage of marks in acquiring the Bachelor’s Degree of Law as below

  • For reserved category candidate, it is 45 %
  • For unreserved category candidates, it is 50%.

Character and Conduct of the Candidate: The character of the candidate should be suitable to the service, and the candidate has to submit a certificate of character and conduct given after the date of notification from three responsible persons.

Physical standards:  The candidate should be Physically and mentally fit for the post and the vision of the candidates should be Standard III level or better than that.

Admit Card

The admit card for the exam has been released by the TNPSC on the official website. The admit card has been released by the boards when the application process was over. Only those candidates got the admit card who submitted the application form before the last date for filling the application. The admit card is the key to the examination hall, the candidates were not allowed without the admit card. The candidate has to log in to the website in order to download the admit card. Examination Scheme

There will be three stages in the entire recruitment process. The examination scheme of all the stages is given here.

Preliminary examination: It will be objective type examination and will carry maximum 100 marks. The duration of the examination is 02 hours.

Main Examination: This examination os descriptive type examination and have four papers. Each paper will be of 03 hours and will carry maximum 100 marks.

Viva Voice: After cleaning the main examination the candidates have to appear in the Viva vice test. The exam will carry maximum 60 marks. The object of the viva-voce test is to assess the suitability of the candidate for the cadre by judging the mental alertness, general knowledge, knowledge of the law, intellectual depth, the like of the candidate, his/her tact and ability to handle various situations in the Court.

Answer Key

Tamil Nadu Civil Judge has been released on the official Answer Key and It is available online at www.tnpsc.gov.in or can be downloaded through the direct link which has been provided on this page when officially released. Applicant has to download the Tamil Nadu Civil Judge Answer Key 2018 from the official website when it is announced after the examination. Then entrant can match the Answer key declared by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission with his answers. Answer key should be downloaded according to the paper applicant has.

Selection Process

The candidates who will qualify the prelims examination will be shortlisted for the mains examination. The candidates whose name will be there in the shortlisted list for Main Examination will only be allowed to appear in the Mains Examination. The candidates who will qualify the main examination will be called for the Oral test i.e. Interview. At lats document verification round will be also conducted the candidates who will show all the documents and certificates will be finally recruited.

Result

The result of the Tamil Nadu Civil Judge exam 2018 will be released by Tamil Nadu Civil Judge. The result will be declared by the board after the publishing of the answer key. Pay Scale

The candidates who are fortunate and who will clear all the stages will be appointed as the Civil Judge by the Tamil Nadu Government. The candidates will be paid according to the Pay Scale of Rs. 27,700 – 770 – 33,090 – 920 – 40,450 – 1080 – 44,770 + Allowances, as admissible under the Rules.
