The successor of “Madras Service Commission”, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is responsible for the conduct of entrance exam for the post of Assistant Engineer (AE) Agricultural Engineering. The official notice had already out and the aspirants are all set to fill the application forms. TNPSC AE Agricultural Engineering Eligibility Criteria 2017
Category: Only SC/ SC(A) and ST categories can appear for TNPSC AE 2017.
Age Limit: You must have completed the age of 18 years to be eligible for the recruitment. There is no upper age limit.
Educational Qualification: An aspirant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the below mentioned courses from an university that is recognized by the University Grants Commission or the State Board.
- B.E.(Agriculture) or B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) or B.Sc.(Agricultural Engineering)
- B.E. (Mechanical/ Civil/ Production Engineering/ Industrial Engineering) or B.Tech (Automobile Engineering)
Certificate of Physical Fitness: After selection for the post of Assistant Engineer, the candidate have to submit a certificate of physical fitness.
Knowledge in Tamil: He/She must have efficient knowledge in Tamil.

The selection will be based on two-successive stages i.e.,
- Initially, there will be a Written Examination in which you must score marks over the cutoff point to feature in the selection list.
- Once you clear the written examination, an oral test in shape of interview will take place for further shortlisting.
- Then, the marks in the Written Test and Interview round will be calculated to sum the overall score. Those will occupy the first 21 spots in the list will be selected for the post of Assistant Engineer (AE) Agricultural Engineering.

The aspirants are required to make the payment of Rs.150/- towards the “One -Time Registration Fee”. Those who have already paid the fee of Rs.50/- before 01st March 2017 are exempted from paying the registration fee for the recruitment.
How to Apply
The Application Forms can be filled only through online mode. Go through the eligibility criteria mentioned on top before applying for it. You can fill the application forms online upto 2nd August 2017. Primarily, register yourself and pay the required application fee towards One-Time Registration which will be valid for 5 years from the day of registration. Only the aspirants belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) and Scheduled Tribes are invited to fill the application forms.
