TNPSC Group 8 / 7 Result 2016 will be declared online. Candidates who have appeared for TNPSC Group 8 / 7 Exam 2016, can check result to know marks obtained and qualifying status. The candidates whose roll numbers / names are mentioned in TNPSC Result shall called for interview on the date decided by the Commission. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will recruit candidates to 78 vacancies in posts of Executive Officer.
Result of TNPSC Group 8 / 7 Exam 2017 will be the basis on which shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. After that, the Commission will hold counselling to appoint eligible and qualified candidates.

Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e.,
- Written Examination
- Oral Test in the form of an interview.
Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments through Counseling. Appearance in both the papers of the Written Examination and Oral Test is compulsory. An applicant who has not appeared in any one of the papers in Written Examination or the Oral Test will not be considered for selection, even if he secures qualifying marks in the Written Examination or Oral Test.
