Madras Service Commission is replaced by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) which was created under a Madras Legislature Act in 1929. It was also India’s first Provincial Public Service Commission. In 1970 it adopted its current name. TNPSC acts under the terms of Articles 315 to 323 of Part XIV of the Indian Constitution.
