National Testing Agency (NTA) is scheduled to conduct UGC NET UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 Examination for Phase II. The exam is conducted in Computer-based Test (CBT) mode. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in two shifts- Shift 1 and Shift 2. On 26 Dec 2021 Exam for Bengali (Group-1) is scheduled to be conducted in Shift 1 and for Bengali (Group-2) to be conducted in Shift 2. The answer key for both the exams is released on UGC NET official website which can be downloaded using the Registration number and password.

UGC NET 2021 Marking Scheme
After the UGC NET exam process is concluded NTA releases the provisional answer key on the official website of UGC NET before the release of the final answer key and result. Using the answer key candidates can calculate their tentative score by matching their responses to the answer key. To calculate the score, candidates should know the marking scheme for UGC NET 2021. For every right answer candidates are awarded 2 marks. For unanswered questions, no marks are conducted. A negative marking scheme is not applicable for wrong answers.

How to Estimate UGC NET Scores?
Using the answer key candidates can estimate their UGC NET Scores by matching their responses to the answer key. Below are the steps using which candidates can predict their tentative score:
Paper I
Paper 1 consists of a total of 50 questions with each question carrying 2 marks. This means every right answer gives 2 marks to the candidates. For wrong answers, no marks are deducted since the negative marking scheme is not applicable.
Follow the formula below to calculate the score for paper 1:
Paper 1 score= Number of Correct answers × 2
Paper II:
Paper 2 consists of a total of 100 questions with each question carrying 2 marks. Thus every right answer gives 2 marks to the candidates. For wrong answers no marks are deducted since negative marking scheme is not applicable.
Follow the formula below to calculate the score for paper 2:
Paper score= Number of Correct answers × 2
An overall score can be calculated out of total marks (Paper 1+ Paper 2) that is out of 300. Candidates need to keep in mind that they need to score a minimum qualifying mark to pass the exam.

About UGC NET
The National Eligibility Test (NET) as the name suggests is an eligibility test conducted for University Grants Commission (UGC) conducted by National Testing Agency to identify eligible candidates for Assistant Professorship, and Junior Research Fellowship, in Indian Universities and Colleges.
