How to check UPSC CAPF Written Exam Result 2019?
Candidates can follow simple steps as you see below in order to check the written exam result.
Step 1: Visit upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: Scroll down. And click on written exam results link.

Step 3: CAPF written result recently came out, its link is available there. Click it.
Step 4: Download and open PDF file of written exam result of UPSC CAPF AC 2019. Go through it to find roll number.
Please note that roll numbers that you see in CAPF result refer to roll number you got in admit card of CAPF 2019.
Calculation of marks for CAPF Result
Candidates get marks as per final official answer key of CAPF 2019. However please note that UPSC issues this answer key only after the final result. As per it, candidates get marks like this:
Paper I calculation of marks
- You get +2 for every correct answer in Paper I
- There is negative marking of 2/3 for every incorrect answer.
- Also, there is negative marking of 2/3 for every answer that you mark more than once.
Paper II calculation of marks
- You get marks as per marking scheme of individual question in Paper II.
- There is no negative marking in it.
Besides the answer key, UPSC also releases question papers of CAPF exam.
MHA appoints nodal authority to conduct PET/PST
Whereas the written exam is conducted by UPSC, PET/PST is conducted by the nodal agency that MHA appoints that year.
- Sashtra Seema Bal was appointed nodal agency in 2018.
- Central Reserve Police Force was appointed nodal agency in 2017
- Border Security Force was appointed nodal agency in 2016
- Border Security Force was appointed nodal agency in 2015 also.
Ministry of Home Affairs appoints any one among Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Indo‐Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as nodal agency for PET/PST.
Qualified candidates get PET/PST call letter from nodal agency
In order to appear in PET/PST, candidates need to obtain call letter. Call letter for them are issued by nodal agency. In case candidate does not get it within a fixed timeline, then he/she should contact the nodal agency by phone / fax / email. They should also contact UPSC by letter or fax at once.
Qualified candidates must also register on website and fill DAF
After declaration of UPSC CAPF Result 2019, shortlisted candidates must also visit official website in order to register and fill detailed application form at upsc.gov.in. During this, they must also submit the requisite document. Availability of DAF on the website shall only be for a limited period of time. Please note that DAF is separate from the application form of CAPF 2019.
Candidates will also have to submit hard copy of DAF, and documents during PET/PST/MST. Some relevant documents are like proof of Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Caste, Civilian Central Govt. Service Employee/Ex-servicemen, resident of J&K.
Qualified candidates must submit address change data after result of UPSC CAPF 2019
Another thing that qualified candidates need to do is to intimate change in address, if any, to nodal agency.
UPSC CAPF 2019 Final Result
For declaration of final result also, UPSC does not specify any date before hand. Its expected date is given in table above. As and when result is available, candidates can check CAPF Final Result 2019 at upsc.gov.in. UPSC may also notify it through PIB.
Final result of UPSC CAPF 2019 is declared on basis of marks obtained in written exam as well as personality test and interview. Please note that PET/PST/MST are only qualifying in nature.
UPSC announces final result in form of PDF file containing roll numbers and names, in order of merit, of finally recommended candidates. Since this is in form of merit, therefore it is also referred to as CAPF Merit List 2019.

UPSC CAPF Marksheet 2019 / Marks Obtained Check
Around 15 days after final result through around 60 days, marksheet and marks obtained by candidates are made available at upsc.gov.in. Also, marks obtained by recommended candidates is published as a separate PDF file and this one stays for a longer period of time.

- Navigate to link available to check marks.
- Enter roll number, date of birth.
- Login to check marks.
Also, if anyone wants hard copy of marksheet, then they can request UPSC to do that. Candidates must provide self-addressed stamped envelope with this request. Also, they must send such request within 30 days of display of marks.
UPSC CAPF 2019 Selection Process
Selection of eligible candidates for UPSC CAPF AC is on basis of their performance in following:
- Written exam
- PET/PST
- Interview
Here is a brief description of each.
- Written Exam
It is a pen and paper based test comprising of two papers.
- Paper I is General Ability and Intelligence with 125 MCQs of 250 marks
- Paper II is General Studies, Essay and Comprehension with 6 subjective questions of 200 marks
In paper I, candidates get +2 for correct answers, and -2/3 for incorrect answer.
- PET/PST and Medical Test
Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates have to prove their physical mettle by undergoing all following activities.

Medical Standards: Candidates undergo a full medical checkup. A full list of diseases and defects are given on a page, and in front of it, ticks and crosses are put. - Interview
Only such candidates who qualify PET/PST are called for interview. It is of 150 marks. Those who get call for interview will also have to fill the detailed application form in which they have to indicate preference for forces.
Final Selection is on the basis of marks obtained in the written exam as well as interview / personality test.

The commission has not specified any date for declaration of CAPF 2019 result. And this is one thing that candidates would really like to know while waiting for result. Thus, we look at past year timelines to predict date for this year’s result.

Written exam held on August 12.
Result announced on January 10. That is 151 days after exam.
DAF filling from January 14 to 28.
