UPSC CMS Answer Key 2018 -The examination will be conducted on July 22, 2018, and all the candidates who will be appearing for the UPSC CMS Entrance Examination can check the answer key on this page. The Union Public Service Commission publishes the CMS answer key. The answer key will be uploaded to the official website at upsc.gov.in in pdf file format. Candidates must save the file in their computer system and compare their marked answers with the officials, evaluate their approximate scores. The marks evaluations using answer key and marks obtained finally ( which can only be found when the result is declared) may vary. Therefore, the marks secured at the time of answer key by comparing should not be taken as final marks. The UPSC CMS 2018 Answer Key will be declared in sets such as A, B, C and D.
UPSC CMS 2018 Answer Key
The answer key will have the Examination Name i.e. CMS-2018, subject, maximum marks, items to be taken for scoring, Number of items to be dropped and the solutions. The candidates will observe the solutions of both the papers I and II. Paper, I is Gen, Med., Paed., Gen. Ability. This answer key will have 120 ideal answers. Paper II is of Surgery, obs and Gyn., PSM subject. This answer key also has 120 ideal solutions.

Steps to download the Answer Key
- Visit the official website at upsc.gov.in/examinations/.
- The candidates will now observe the answer key tab in the active examinations sections.
- Look under the title Combined Medical Services Examination, 2018.
- Click the link on the right in ‘Download’.
- A new window will open.
The format of answer key
The solutions of both the papers will be embedded in one file only. Candidates will notice the right answer written in front of the question. There will be no set as such but the solutions.
Score calculation using the answer key
All of you must know that using the marking scheme one can find out the approximate scores in the examination. Well to find out which, it is of utmost importance that the candidate learns the marking scheme of the paper. So let us take a quick look.
Combined Medical Service examination had 2 papers. Both the papers of 500 marks in total had Multiple Choice Questions that were required to be attempted on Computer in 4 hours. In Paper I there is 120 questions of 2 mark each. In Paper II as well, there are 120 questions of worth 2 marks. In total 250 marks can be fetched from one paper. There was Negative Marking of 0.33 marks.
Now that you know that for each correct response a candidate receives 2 marks. The same can be implemented when the answer key is released and the candidate can find out the best possible scores to be achieved in the paper.
