Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released UPSC IES 2018 Admit Card for the Main exam. The admit card was issued on June 13, 2018, on upsc.gov.in. The candidates may also download it from this page. UPSC IES 2018 Admit Card

The selection process of UPSC IES 2018 Exam has three steps, Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The Prelims is over. Now IES Main exam will be held. More than 2 lakh candidates register for the exam and only a handful qualify. IES 2018 is being conducted to select 588 candidates for A grade engineering post.

UPSC IES Main Admit Card 2018

UPSC will release the admit card on the official website. The shortlisted candidates of Prelims can able to download the Admit Card for Mains. To download the Admit Card you will require entering the RID or Roll no. Check the steps to download the Mains Admit Card.

How to download the Admit Card for UPSC IES Mains Exam 2018?

To download the Admit card for Mains, Either you can visit the official website. Or can click on the above link. Now follow these easy steps.

  • Find the link which says, e- Admit Card for UPSC IES Mains.
  • After Clicking on the link the page will redirect to new page.
  • There will be two options for downloading the Admit Card.
  • By Registration ID or By Roll No.
  • If you choose for RID then you will require entering the RID and Date of BIrth and an Auto-Generated Captcha.
  • Same in case of Roll No. You have to enter the Roll no instead of RID.
  • After submitting the details click on the “Continue” button.
  • Here the Admit card will open. Now take some prints of the Admit card and keep it safe.

Note: While downloading the Admit Card you will get Instructions manual. You should take the print of the instruction manual and follow the instructions.

What to do if Unable to Download UPSC IES 2018 Admit Card for Mains Exam?

Note: If a candidate doesn’t communicate to Commission regarding the issue 02 weeks prior to the examination. Then he/she will solely responsible for the candidature failure.

How to Remove Discrepancy on the UPSC IES Admit Card 2018?

  • Anyone of the following Valid Photo-Id Proof: College Id, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook, Driving Licence, Voter ID, etc

Paper Pattern for UPSC IES 2018 Mains

The selection process of UPSC IES has three major step to scale the candidates. The Prelims was the first which was objective type. The second one is the Main Examination. And the last is Interview. The Main examination is a Written test, which is conventional easy type in nature. The paper pattern of the main examination is explained here

  • Here Engineering Discipline shows any stream in the engineering.
  • Candidate has to answer the question in English language only.
  • Question Paper will be in English Language Only.
  • However, the main examination doesn’t have the provision for the negative marking. But if candidate’s handwriting is not clear then the deduction will be up to 5%.

Important Instructions for UPSC IES 2018 Admit Card and Mains Examination

While downloading the admit card you will get a set of instruction on the official website. You should print and follow the instructions. We have also covered those instructions here.

  • Carry your Admit card in the examination hall. Without admit card, Candidate won’t allow in the hall.
  • If your image is not clear on the admit card. Then bring one ID proof, 02 passport size photograph and an undertaking document in the exam hall.
  • The candidate should reach at the examination venue at least half an before the examination time. As the entry shall be closed 10 minutes before the exam.
  • UPSC won’t allow any electronic gadgets in the examination hall such as Smart Watches, Phone etc. And do not carry any valuable item in the examination hall. You will be solely responsible for any loses.
  • Candidates can bring only battery operator calculators for conventional (essay) type papers only. The candidates cannot borrow, or interchange the calculators in the exam hall.
  • Candidates should use an only International form of Indian numerals (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.) while answering question papers.
  • Try to write as much clear as possible.
