UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2020 Prelims Exam Pattern for Civil Engineering

Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks are deducted for each wrong answer. Multiple answers to a single question will also be treated as a wrong response and same penalty is applicable for those.
Un-attempted Questions: No marks are awarded/deducted for such questions.

Union Public Service Commission Indian Engineering Services (IPSC IES) is conducted at the national level in 3 stages: Preliminary exam (Stage 1), Main exam (Stage 2) and Personality test (Stage 3). The candidates need to clear each previous stage in order to move to the next one. Final ranking and selection to the advertised posts is made on the basis of the marks of all 3 stages.
