About UPSC IES 2020
Indian Engineering Services (IES) is a national level test conducted by Union Public Service Commission. There are 3 stages in the examination process. 1st stage is known as preliminary exam (prelims). Prelims exam comprises of 2 papers with a total weightage of 500 marks. 2nd stage is Main examination which also comprises of 2 papers with a total weightage of 600 marks. Finally, a Personality test is held for the qualifying candidates of previous 2 stages. The final ranking and recruitment is decided on the basis of scores of all 3 stages.
