Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will declare Geoscientist and Geologist Result 2017 in the month of June or July 2017. The result of combined exam for Geoscientist and Geologist held on May 12, 13, 14 can be checked at upsc.gov.in. Selection to 105 vacancies in Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines, and 33 vacancies in Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources will be on basis of written examination and personality test or interview. After declaring UPSC Geoscientist Geologist Result 2017 of written exam, UPSC will hold interview (personality test). Qualified candidates are expected to be issued UPSC Geologist Admit Card / Call Letter for interview. For written exam as well as final, UPSC fixes Geologist and Geoscientist cut off.

About UPSC Geologist Geoscientist Result 2017 – Based on the performance of the students in the written examination which were held by the Union Public Service Commission on 12,13 and 14 May, 2017 and followed by interviews as part of Personality Test, the candidates will be declared qualified for the post in order of their merit. The selected candidates will be posted as Geologists, Geophysicist and Chemists in the Geological Survey of India and Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B), Group ‘A’ in the Central Ground Water Board.

Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination Cut off

Last year the results were announced on 06 September. A total number of 178 candidates were recommended for appointment to the posts.

(A) Written Stage Cut Off of last Geologist Geoscientist Exam

These were the Minimum qualifying marks secured by the last qualified candidate in the written stage who was further called for Personality Test. the marks were given out of 700.
