Candidates can withdraw the online applications submitted for UPSC IAS 2021 exam during the application schedule. They just have to follow a few simple steps as given here. Read on for a comprehensive guide on how to withdraw the application.

Go to the official website of the UPSC which is available at upsc.gov.in.

Click on “Withdrawal of Application: Civil Services (Preliminary) application” which is under the “What’s New” section, .

As shown below, click on the link to visit the portal to withdraw the application.

Click on the link to withdraw the application as shown below.

Step #5
Read the instructions carefully and click on “yes” at the bottom of the page to withdraw the application.

Enter registration ID and click on “continue” to withdraw the application form.

Important Instructions For UPSC IAS Application Form Withdrawal 2021
The Union Public Service Commission is allowing the provision for UPSC IAS application form withdrawal 2021 for the first time this year. Applicants wishing to avail of this facility must, however, remember the following general instructions.
Instruction #1
Only the complete application forms can be withdrawn which were submitted during the application process. Incomplete forms cannot be withdrawn or modified in anyway.
Instruction #2
The registration number, registered mobile number and email id provided during the application process are necessary to withdraw the application form.
Instruction #3
Applicants must confirm the OTP sent by UPSC on the registered mobile number and email id in order to withdraw their application.
Instruction #4
For candidates who submitted more than one application, the one bearing a higher application number is considered for withdrawal. All other applications are automatically rejected.

Candidates must take care to print the authenticated receipt of withdrawal after successfully withdrawing the application form as proof of withdrawal.
Are Fees Refunded After UPSC IAS Application Form Withdrawal?
While applicants have the opportunity to withdraw applications submitted for UPSC IAS 2021 exam, there are no provisions for the refund of fees. As per the official notification, application fees will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates must decide to withdraw application form voluntarily. Application fee is not refunded even after the form is withdrawn.

Candidates who submitted applications and do not withdraw the same are issued admit cards for the examination. It is essential to carry printed copy of the admit card along with government issued photo identity to the exam center.
